Oct 28, 2010I initially synched my iPad to my PC. I am now the proud owner of a new MacBook Pro. How do I now synch my iPad to my MBP and transfer all the data, contacts photo,s etc on my iPad to my MBP?

Dec 17, 2011After several months of problem free syncing, I have just tried to sync my iPad2, only to get the above message. I most certainly have not synced it with another library - so why the message? The options it gives me sound likely to lose me data and so I am considering reinstalling iTunes and pointing the new install to all my music, books and films or else copying everything across from my iPad.

Jun 22, 2010Does anyone know anything about the reports that MDCrashReportTool sends to https://iphonesubmissions.apple.com? It appears that a file called "aggregated.some-date.crash" gets sent to Apple every time the iPad is synched with iTunes or every time there was a crash since the last sync. This file appears to contain all the apps that have been run since the last sync and the amount of time each app is run, in CPU seconds, I am guessing.This seems like way too much information that should be collected and reported back to Apple anonymously like this, and seems like it could be very easily abused if it became public. I don't see any personal info, but with the IP address that it's coming from wouldn't be hard to associate person with behaviour.

Jun 6, 2013I want to get from my disabled ipad 4 (ios 6.1.4) my photos and videos. The ipad has never been synched with the PC. The only solution according to Apple is to restore the system though itunes but such solution will erase my media files ( photos , videos,..) .
I tried several commercial solutions to recover my media files : Dr fone from wondershare,.. but without success
My ipad was disabled after introducing 6 times an erroneous passcode and was never been synched before with my PC.
Unable To Get Ebook With Pictures/iBooks Store No Ebooks With Pictures?
Nov 6, 2010I purchased two books from IBooks store (both $12.99). "A Company of Heroes" is one. The books are excellent but do not contain any pictures that the hardcover editions have in my local bookstore. I could have bought the print versions for around $15.00,
now I feel it was a waste of $$. I checked all the settings and the addendum has a list of all photos in the book but no way to access them, if they are even there. Any thoughts

Downloaded Pictures To Ipad 2 With The Camera Kit Lost The Pictures
Jul 1, 2011I downloaded some pictures to my iPad 2 with the camera kit and it shows it imported them but when I go to camera roll they aren't there. I went into settings into Picture Frame and check marked "last imported" but I still don't see them in my camera roll. Did I miss a step? The only way I can view them is with the SD card plugged into the camera kit hooked into my iPad.

May 13, 2010When I try to download more folders of pictures, I lose the ones I already have. I used to see a menu that allowed me to select the folders but now I don't. I even restored my iPad hoping I could start over and see that menu but I can't.How can I load more pictures. That's the main reason I bought the darn thing.

Overall, just adding to my frustration in the lack of pictures of it in use.Closure - apparently there are magnets to hold the "wallet" part to the iPad part to keep it closed while you riffle thru the crap you pile in there.

I went to view and all folders were there but no pictures or thumbnails except those saved directly from emails. Tried sync 10x but said cannot sync because a file was missing. I have all originals on pc so nothing lost but want on IPad.

Getting Pictures On It With No PC
May 14, 2012My mom recently retired, returning her mac to her workplace, and bought herself a new iPad. The iPad essentially IS her "household computer", they have nothing else. Before she retired I backed up all of her pictures to an online storage. How can I get all of her pictures back on her iPad?
I'm looking for something she can do over the internet, so the camera connection kit is out (I live in New York and she lives in Florida). Ideally I would have her simply download the archives and walk her through unzipping them, but AFAIK Apple considers that too complicated for the average user and is therefore not an option.

Aug 7, 2010I am an italian ipad user. I bought the ipad only to read and study my medical books in pdf, but I got a big problem. I don't know why but some pdf are working just fine, some other ones are can be read but only text is available.As I am a radiologist I need images, text is not sufficient. The strange thing is that the same file is fully available on a PC or on a Mac. The problem is solely on my IPAD.Can someone help me? I really need full access to my library.

Syncing Pictures?
Sep 30, 2010I have some questions about syncing pics to the iPad from a Windows PC.
I also have owned several iPhones, so I know how to use iTunes etc.
OK, first, in iTunes, I have selected 2 sub-folders from within My Pictures to sync to my iPad. Some of the pics are .tif files, the others are .psd files. For some reason, during syncing, I get a box that appears that says several of the pics cant be synced to the iPad. The box shows the name of only one of the problem files, but not the others....and it gives no indication of why those pics are problematic. I believe the message says that the pics cant be displayed on the iPad. Does anyone know what is causing this???
My second question is kind of based on the first - is there any special criteria that needs to be satisfied for pics to work with the iPad? In other words, do they have to be a certain size, resolution etc? I think I read that the iPad will even work with some RAW files...
Third - when the pics are being synced, iTunes says they are being optimized for the iPad...are they being converted to jpeg files? OR is something else happening?
Next - is there any way to see the details of individual image files once they have been synced to the iPad? Can I see the metadata info (EXIF ???) for each file like I can with Photoshop on Windows? As it is, I cant even figure out how to view the files names... I would also like to be able to see how large each file is after being optimized and copied to the iPad....with my iPhones, when I connect them to my PC via the USB cable, I can view the photo folder with Windows Explorer and see the file sizes etc....but that doesn't work for some reason with the iPad.....
And last - are there any apps available for the iPad that will solve some of my problems? i.e. file management apps designed for image files? OR something else?

Some Pictures Can't Be Displayed
Sep 8, 2010I went on a trip with my family last weekend and we took a whole bunch of pictures with a rather decent digital camera. I uploaded them onto my computer from a flash drive and put them in my iTunes pictures folder. Most of them synced up fine, but about... 7 or 8 (out of over 100) were unable to sync up because the iPad supposedly can't display them... I screen-grabbed this error message.

for info, my main use for the ipad will be music production (isequence, ielectribe, akai synth) with a bit of web browsing and checking emails.
questions;
1. do i need to have a host machine?
2. is it compulsory to use itunes?
3. can i charge the ipad via a wall socket?
4. can i set up an imap email account?
5. can i transfer files (mp3, aif, mov, jpeg, etc) over wifi?
