I would like to have my email only show unread messages. I cannot find how to do this. Since I link to my work email, I read many of the emails on another device. When the iPad syncs to my work email, I have to selectively choose only those with a blue dot (indicating unread) but would rather just enable a choice "only show unread messages". I do not see that this option exists.
Up until a week ago, I used my iPad to view al of my email accounts and messages. Now, the messages will not display. In order to read my mail, I have to hit "forward" or "reply" then scroll down. The links in the emails don't work using this method and it's staring to drive me nuts.
My Mail icon in my iPad dock often shows that I have unread mail (the little red circle has a number in it). but when I open Mail, there are no unread messages. I am syncing all my mail with my MobileMe account and my iMac, and my iMac shows the correct number of unread messages (or none if all are read), but the iPad often displays a number on the Mail icon as if there was, in fact, unread mail.
I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out how to remove the unread message notification in various mail folders in Ipad's mail app. What I mean is when I click on various folders (such as Drafts, Trash, Inbox, or Custom Folders I created) it updates the list of all the unread messages displayed on the first page of that particular folder. But if I haven't clicked on a particular folder, it doesn't show the notification of unread messages (even if I have unread messages in that folder). I'm trying to get back to where it doesn't show the unread message notification. Is there a way to remove the counter of unread messages that shows up (For instance, Trash 100 messages, Drafts 70 messages) without going through each message and "reading it"? I get annoyed by seeing unread messages
I'm having a little problem here with my emails, my iPad keeps showing (little red 1 in corner of email app) that I have a single unread email, this is incorrect, I've been through all my emails and they are all marked as read, anyone have an suggestions on how I can fix this?
Just cropped up. Both my iPad and iPhone sync messages so whenever there is conversation on one it's also taking place on the other. I've been having synced convos with this person for several months, not a hitch. Now, all of a sudden HER incoming messages don't show up on the iPad. Only on the iPhone. BOTH our messages show up on the iPhone and only my end of the conversation shows up on the iPad. I have a few others I'm texting with that this problem does NOT occur. BOTH of our messages appear on both devices.
I have an iphone 5 (ios 7.1.1) iPad air (same) Macbook Pro (osx 10.9.3). I am watching the WWC from Apple, and "Continuity" is going to solve this problem. But, in the mean time is there any ways to get text messages to show up on multiple devices.
On my iPad, previously downloaded messages stay in my Inbox and accumulate. Is this supposed to happen? Like most iPad/iPhone native apps, Mail is terribly documented, so who knows if that is designed behavior or not. My settings are set to show 100 most recent messages, and the max option is 200, but I have more than 900 emails in my inbox. On my iPhone when new messages are downloaded, the Inbox is flushed first and then the most recent are loaded.
My iPad 2 has an Exchange account with a number of emails (and contacts and calendar) that have been downloaded from the exchange server. I no longer have access to the mail server for this account and need to export the email messages that are still on the iPad to my PC. I do not need to export the calendar or contacts. There is software that will allow me to export Outlook .pst files TO the iPad, but i need to do it the other way round and export the email messages from the iPad to a .pst file on my PC.
There are over 450 folders and sub folders, and over 2,500 individual emails, so forwarding the email messages won't work, and won't preserve the folder structure.
Everthing on my iPad seems to work but email. I setup my accounts (gmail and yahoo)just like they are setup on my iPhone, but all the iPad does is get stuck on "checking for mail...". I have connectivity, but email isn't working at all. My iphone continues to get the new messages but the ipad isn't getting anything.
am hving a prblem wth my ipad -i use a work email through microsoft exchange.
All emails are workng fine but when i select to view 200 previous messages it only shows 75. I have reset my phone, and deleted the account and started again - but nothing. I also have several staff members who have the am problem on thier iphone 4.
I have around 1300 messages in my gmail apps inbox that i want downloaded. I have set up this account to use pop and told gmail to enable pop for all messages, even those already downloaded. The iPad now will download chunks at a time and then suddenly stop and i can't download anything more recent than june. So far it has about 400 of the 1300 available.
