May 13, 2010Does anyone know if it's okay to use the extension cord that comes with MacBook pros on the iPad? If you're not familiar with what im talking about, if you look at the charger the plug pulls out. You can replace that with a longer cord. On the MBP it came with an extension. I'd like to use that with the iPad if it's not a problem.

Charging From Iphone Charger Or Original Charger?
Nov 28, 2010I have an iPhone 3g and just purchased an iPad, when travelling. I would prefer to carry only one charger to charge both units. My question is it better to charge the iPhone from the iPad charger, or, charge the iPad from the iPhone charger with out doing damage to either unit?

Jun 29, 2010I just hooked up my ipad to my PC yesterday and it synced all my music...but when it is syncing photos...it takes ages and when it finally finishes it says..." Kimberleys Ipad cannot be siynced.....an error occurred while reading from the device". ???
Plus...when I hook the charger into the USB port...it says "Not Charging" in the top right hand corner of the screen....Has anyone had the same problem? My operating system is up to date...so Im a little stuck...

Jul 27, 2010I'm looking for a charger for my iPad to use when I'm in the car. Something I can plug in and use without having to monitor for battery drain. Can anyone recommend one? I do have the Apple 10W USB Power Adapter which is fine for inside the home but I want something for when I'm traveling and will either plug-in to the Car's Power Outlet or maybe even one of the chargeable battery packs I've seen around (where you can echarge or run iPad directly off a precharged battery pack). Either one would work... Can someone ecommend?

Jul 28, 2010I have 2 issues regarding charging my Ipad. The first is that I am going back to the UK and want to take my Ipad with me. But I could not get it to charge the last time I was there.I tried to charge it through my laptop which I had been able to do from home and even with a UK Ipod charger. Nothing worked.How can I charge my Ipad while I am in the UK? This second is happening right now.It is connected to my computer, happily syncing, but it says it is not charging. Which is odd because it always used to charge this way.

You have to look closely to read the fine print indicating which charger is for which device.If you accidentally plug an iPad into an iPod charger - no harm done, as the iPod charger runs at a lower wattage. But what happens if you accidentally plug an iPod into an iPad charger? Is there some protective circuitry that prevents the iPod from getting fried?I've already figured that at some point I'll screw these up - so I put some labels on the chargers just to be on the safe side.

Charger Gets Hot More Than Other Chargers
Jul 28, 2010Had my iPad for only 3 days.
First time I charged it no issues.
After using it a lot for a day and a half battery down to 40% so though i better charge it up over night.
This morning when I went to unplug it I noticed the charger was pretty hot. Not too hot to touch, but far hotter that my iPhone charger ever gets. (as warm as a warmed plate in a restaurant.).
Is this normal or is my charger stuffed?
(yes, I made sure it was my iPad not my iPhone charger I used.)
