I was able to sync the iPad with iTunes 9.1 (Mac Pro, 10.6.3) right out of the box. Used for a few days and then the "Not Charging" problem showed up even when using the charger that came with the iPad. It does however charge while in sleep or off mode so I can live with that.
Just today, attached cable to Mac Pro to sync with iTunes. iPad did not show up in iTunes at all. Tried using different cables from Apple with no success. Tried other Macs with no success. Re-installed iTunes 9.1, restarted iPad, restarted computers. No success. Thinking about going back to the Newton now.
The iPad does not sort tunes and/or audiobooks correctly. The correct sort order is shown in iTunes and the tunes and audiobooks are sorted correctly on the iPhone and iPod but the iPad shuffles them in random order. Is there a fix for this?
I plugged my ipad2 into charge, the charge icon didn't show up, tried another powerpoint and still nocharge, my ipad still turns on and is going ok, just won't charge. Cheers
When I receive my iPad 3G I would like to use it as an alarm clock and keep it plugged into the AC Plug with the small brick it comes with so it can charge overnight but I would like to leave my iPad on to show the alarm clock but would this harm the battery?
Can you overcharge your iPad battery and reduce the lifespan and amount of use or does apple have a way around that when leaving your iPad to charge even when it's full?
Looking for some help, here's my issue: -I connect my iPad to any of the USB ports on my Mac Pro 2.6/Quad-C Int Xe but the iPad does not show up in iTunes. -I've done all the normal stuff, restarted the iPad and computer several times but the only thing that works is reinstalling iTunes. -After I reinstall iTunes the iPad will immediately show up in it and sync fine -HOWEVER, after I've restarted the computer it won't show up anymore -So the main issue is, every time I want to sync the iPad I need to reinstall iTunes. That's not normal.
Ideas?

Ipad does not show up in iTunes list of devices. It is an iPad 2 and had been working fine and had been synced before. I tried all of the steps in troubleshooting.
I have several video files converted via handbrake to m4v format that were downloading and playing fine from my mac to my iPad before I upgraded to iTunes 9.2. However, since the upgrade, the movies download to the iPad but the tablet doesn't seem to see them... the computer says they're there, and they take up memory, but they aren't listed as a playable file in video app. Anybody else having issues with this?
Curiously, they work fine with 9.2 when I'm using my iPhone (3G with current system).

Songs downloaded from iTunes from the iPad will not show up in my music library even after it has fully downloaded. If I sync my iPad with my mbp they will than show up on the iPad but they where downloaded straight from the iPad to start with.
I have been using my iPad for a couple of weeks after original sync, I wanted to add a new album but not all Apps are showing in the list, they do all appear on the screen images of the iPad to the right of the list. I was worried that if I re-sync will I lose all the apps I have downloaded direct onto the iPad?
I am trying to update my sons ipad 1 to ios 5. he has 159 apps according to his ipad, when plugged into the pc, itunes only shows 54 apps. we have updated itunes and installed ios 5 on my ipod with not problems but i dont want to do it on his ipad if he will lose apps. sync and backup dont help. any ideas?
It won't show up in iTunes despite being fully recognized by Windows 7. I deleted the Windows drivers and they got reinstalled, but still no recognition. It isn't the cord or the USB port since they both work with my iPhone. Mind you, my previous iPad 3 connected fine and was synced/backed up for the new one, but I opted to start fresh again.
I'm on my last day to return, was considering upgrading to 64GB, simultaneously getting another 14 days of return time, more space, and possibly one that will work immediately with iTunes. Then again, I risk getting one with obvious "screen problems" that on this one are all but absent except to the highly critical 100%-brightness-every-viewing-angle-color-testing crowd (this one had some "blacklight bleed" at 100% brightness on black background, perhaps slightly obvious when viewing a movie but still could be worse (or better?)).
