I noticed that after I deleted a bunch of emails, they were all still in my trash folder, which I hadn't opened. I don't know if they are stored in Flash Memory or in RAM, but I deleted them all. If they are stored in RAM, it could take up some valuable resources.

Why is it so easy to archive things, but so hard to delete them. I can swipe or tap the icon to archive, but to delete I have to open it, and move it to the trash.

Unable to send and receive btinternet emails via Apple Mail. Keep getting error message " Username or password in valid". Able to connect to email via BT Mail web page. Trouble started with recent upgrade to iOS 7.1.2. BT Help Desk tried for over an hour to sort out the problem. At the end claim the problem was with the new iOS and I should call Apple Support to get this sorted. Have any other UK users of btinternet had similar problems?

I have configured the Mail App on my brand new iPad to receive emails from my provider GMX.net. It is a POP3 account. The emails stay on the server until I fetch them with Outlook 2003 on my PC. After retrieving emails with Outlook they are deleted from the server. That is what I want. But the emails stay in the Mail App on my iPad. I also can't delete emails with the iPad on the server.

Unable to delete or send a new message in front of my mail screen, therefore can't access my mail because of this message being Stuck on front .
View 6 RepliesWhen I trash an email on my iPad, I can usually recall the email from the trash folder. That is, for all emails EXCEPT those from other iPads (or iPhones). I get the message:"This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program".
View 3 RepliesWhen I try to delete an e- mail I get a pop up message saying "the message cannot be moved to the mailbox "trash". Consequently, nothing is deleted and my inbox gets very crowded. I probably have something wrong in settings, but I don't know what it is.
View 2 RepliesOn my iPad2, how do I send a Gmail email to trash? I do not see an icon for trash, i.e. the usual "trash" can.

Strange, I can't move emails to trash by swiping them or selecting for deletion. I just get a message "can't move email to trash"However, if I click on the file folder, and move them to the trash that way, it works. Anyone else seeing this?I googled this and noticed there was a similar iphone issue a couple years ago But this seems different somehow.
View 2 RepliesOnce you delete an e-mail, is there a way to retrieve it from the trash like on the iPhone? Also, could not find a setting to give you a ping sound when you have new e-mail.
