View 13 RepliesI am trying to set up mail on a replacement generation one iPad, but the settings crash when I click on Mail, Contacts, Calendar. It won't even let me get into that screen from Settings. Neither rebooting nor resyncing with my Mac helps.

My newly purchased iPad 3's Settings items are stuck. For example, the general settings' slide bar does not work, it's stuck and I can't move it. Same with the email and contacts bar, the drop down items do not appear. What must I do?

After upgrading my iPad today to 4.2.1 (full restore, then start from scratch) I was setting up my 5 email accounts. Something that has perplexed me, but I really have never searched for a possible solution (until now, because I just didn't think about it) was the order the accounts appear in both the settings-mail,contacts and calendars AND under mailboxes in the mail app.The accounts are not alphabetized. I've tried deleting and recreating them in order of alphabetization, etc. The only thing that is constant is my Mobileme account is the top one (no matter what, and I have a pretty good idea why this is so.) The remaining 4 accounts are all Google based, both Google Apps and regular Gmail accounts.
View 5 RepliesI have about 8 mail accounts on my iPad but I want to change the order of how the appear in sequence. I don't see a way to do that in mail or in the settings.

View 1 RepliesI have a new iPad2 for a week or so now. I'm new to iPad, do not have an iPhone, but do have Mac experience.I got the iPad2 connected to our wireless network, set up email in Mail and have down loaded some apps, surfed via Safari, etc., all with no difficulty. Mail has been working fine both sending and receiving, then all of a sudden stopped working today.
Mail sort of opens up, but there's no messages visible and nothing else except the empty Mail screen, and there's no functionality from there. It appears to be frozen. the only thing that can be done from there is tap the home button and go to the home page. The Mail app button shows 14 - I assume new/unread messages?, but none of them show in the Mail screen when I tap it.
When I try to access the Mail accounts under Setting on my iPad I'm immediately thrown back onto the Home screen. The iPad uses iOS 5.1.
View 1 RepliesOn my iPad I try I go settings, then click on mail, contacts, calenders. It then just freezes and takes me. Back to my home page. The email address I used for my iPad was recently blocked as it was hacked so I can no longer access the email so I wanted to change it to my iPhone apple ID.

I have tried to set up 4 accounts in my iPad. While three of them are working properly, the fourth one is not and shows error. With the same settings it works alright in another iPad.
View 3 RepliesI keep getting 2 emails for what should be 1 email in my posts, I think that it's something to do with my MobileMe - does anyone know the correct settings I should have on my iPad to stop this happening? I've stopped this happening on my iPhone by unchecking email boxes in iTunes, is there a way to stop this on my iPad?Mac OS X (10.5.6)

View 1 RepliesWhen I try to make some changes in the e-mail account set up on my iPad 2, I found that settings are grayed out on the screen. It does not even allows me either create or delete the account. What has to be done for changing it back to normal mode?

View 3 Replieshow to move the email settings from one iPad to another without restoring from a backup?
I want my ipad3 to remain as pristine as possible and I am only interested in not having to set up my 10 imap accounts again.
I do have a tool to pull files from the device directly, if that is helpful.
I can't open Mail, Contacts, Calendar on my IPad. Still fairly new to my iPad.
View 5 RepliesI have a new iPad, and have been reading all the info I can find about setting it up, but am currently stumped with simply syncing my existing Mail accounts across from my MacBook to my iPad. I have read in several places where it says "In iTunes, use the iPad preference panes to sync email accounts settings from your computer. See "Syncing" on page 28."Now, when I go to iTunes on my MacBook, I can't find an iPad preferences pane, let alone an option to sync email accounts settings. Yes, I can see my iPad plugged in via iTunes and can choose what to sync etc, but nothing about Mail. When I go to iTunes on my iPad, all it shows me is what appears to be the iTunes store, and I can click on "Music", "Movies", etc (icons on the bottom of the screen). There is no content that appears to be from my iTunes on my MacBook, or anywhere else: just suggestions that I can purchase.
View 2 RepliesIt is probably obvious, but I am missing it. I want to create folders in my email accounts on my iPad to store emails I wish to keep. Unfortunately, I have not been able to discover how.

Is there any way to adjust mail settings so that you can receive emails manually instead of automatically?

Suddenly for no reason that I can see, my one week old New iPAD will not let me access settings for "mail, contacts, calendars". I can highlight the selection but actually selecting it just freezes the screen. The mail app malfunctions - lets me delete messages but then restores them. All apps, including mail, drop out seemingly randomly making the device totally unusable.
