Things do not look good for ibooks.They have the same number of books they had in the beginning, and half of them are Guttenburg project titles. Amazon has a much better selection vailable. If Apple doesn't find publishers soon, the whole app may hit the dirt.

Unfortunately we can not have more than Five IPADs on one account.I have about three working and 17 more unable to download applications because they are all on the same company Credit Card. I was checking iBooks but there are still very limited selection of books to choose from?
The books that I want are not on iBooks.
Do you guys get your e-books from Amazon or something? And how are e-books from 3rd party vendors like amazon on the iPad? ( i suppose it's in pdf format? )
I actually bought the iPad for the purpose of downloading books and reading, in other words carrying my library with me wherever i go. I already got an iPod touch and getting benefit of the apps and music. But when it comes to iPad, am very disappointed, the collection of books offered by iBooks are very limited, its actually a narrow bunch of Literature "Classics" not more not less! I thought I was going to access Worlds most known presses and buy the latest books and best sellers. I don't know if this applies on iTunes store US and the other regions, but this is the situation with me in Kuwait.

View 1 RepliesI can't load any book now in iBooks -- I tried remove them all and resyncing with my iTunes and I still get an error when I try to load the book on the iPad.
"Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing."
Now completely useless. None of my books are readable.
What is the solution to this?

When will the selection of books on iBooks get better? There are many titles that just are not available, but are if I choose to use another reader. I am not talking about obscure books. I enjoy reading from the iBook application, but it doesn't matter if the books are not available.

Does anyone know why this happened. I hesitate to use iBooks now until I find out if they are going to disappear on a regular basis.

I have tried everything and the only thing that seems to work is installing a new book from the book store, but I currently don't have wifi so I can't on my wifi only iPad.

I found a couple discussions elsewhere, but I cant seem to get these other books to open. I just redownloaded the books themselves and iBooks. I did not do a restore of the iPad, I'd like to avoid doing that if I can.

I have an iPad 2 and my OS software is up todate. I can no longer save PDFs or Books from iTunes Store to iBooks. When I try to save a book from the store, I get a message that says that I must have iBooks installed. iBooks is installed on my iPad. I have tons of books and PDFs and I can opener my PDFs and books in iBooks without any problems.
Also, iBooks does not show up in the "Save To" drop down menu in my email. Is anyone else having this problem. If so, is there a solution? The problem just started 2 days ago.

I have done some research and haven't been able to find a way to do this so far but i would love to be able to have all my books in one place and i prefer the design of the ibooks applications. Is it possible to somehow move books from the kindle application to ibooks application?
View 7 RepliesI bought a new Macbook Pro because my old one crashed. I had my documents backed up on another drive but not with Time Machine and my iPad was backed up also but on my Mac. I was able to use some software to get my music back but I can't figure out how to get my books back out of ibook. Have anyone ever have this problem? From what I see there is nothing to help you get your iPad back into itunes and syncing properly if your computer crashes, I know I should have been using time machine but even if I had what if the disk drive became corrupt? I know there is a slim chance that it will ever happen but I am one of those people where what ever can go wrong...
