Lack Of Ability To View Multi-page Tiff - Any Idea ?
Oct 28, 2010
Does anyone have a solution to the lack of the ability to view multi-page tiffs in safari on the iPad? One of the main things that we use is an online database where all the information is stored as multi-page tiffs and I would love to be able to view them on my iPad.
We use Windows Fax Server at the office for incoming faxes. The ipad seems like it would be ideal to view these faxes but they are distributed as multi-page .tiff email attachements. I cannot figure out how to view the multi-page documents. I can only view the first page. Any suggestions?
I like very much The ipad, and i use IT everywere is possible:from browsing The web to writing emails, from playing games to listening to music. But there's a big problem:i can't read multi-page tiff that I use very much within my enterprise. I can only read The first page of these files, other pages seems to not exist.
I've made many tries:installing readdle docs and other applications didn't solve The problem (also these applications showed only The first page) and both mail application and gmail browser client show a question mark as attached file in preview, i can download this as image but still I can only see The first page. Did anybody managed to solve The problem? Google didn't...
When I used iPad or iPhone 3GS mail to check email, usually the tiff attachment cannot be viewed, however, iPhone 4 has no problem with the same email and attachment. Both iPhone are using iOS 4.1 and iPad 3.22. Is it the reason of that iPhone 4 has more memory? Will this problem be fixed in iOS 4.2!
It's been 10 months since the 3GS was released and we don't even have a date from AT&T as to when the feature/function that we were SOLD with our iPhones will be enabled. Meanwhile, many other countries across the world are enjoying their iPhones as Apple meant them to be enjoyed, and as we the consumers expect. If AT&T's service is capable of handling 3G iPads, there is no reason why it can't handle tethering our iPhones. Their network is far less taxed than Sprint or Verizon, and yet you can tether with those company's smart phones. I'm tired of waiting patiently for AT&T to come through. They were late with MMS and we're already seeing rumors of a new iPhone. I repeat, A NEW iPHONE when I didn't even get to use the features on the soon to be "old" model (3GS).
I've spent a fair share of time finding hi-res covers for all of my eBooks. I'm disappointed I can only view the small version of the artwork before it swoops by upon being opened. No option to admire the cover, only the first page.
I am new at this and have just bought the IPAD for my husband who is in chemo and radiation therapy and needs to pull his email from bed to keep busy. Alot of his emails have wave files that use quicken, when will this application be available for IPAD users or will it never be available?
I'm having the same issue opening the TIFF file on my I-pad. Unfortunately, being a multi page file, the email shows just the first page of it and the only thing that I can do is save the image. I have docstogo installed but can't think of how to open the file with it.
After searching eBay for a folio bookstand type of case (and refusing to give in to the official Apple case scalpers) I finally decided on this $16 one and thought I'd share... It's shipping from China so I won't get it for another 2 weeks or so.
I like the elastic moleskine-like cover and how the inside pocket doesn't cover up the ipad's bezel as much as some of the other eBay offerings.
It definitely won't be the last case I'll buy because I want to see what the future holds (I'm hoping for a black Macally Bookstand option soon) but in the meantime, this little eBay purchase will have to do.

A link to one of the color options in question.Sexy. The pleather doesn't smell horribly, and it looks really good up close. No missing or pulled stitching, which is always a pet peeve of mine. Shipped in a bubble envelope via Royal Mail, with no damage to the box whatsoever. It was marked as shipped on the 7th, arrived late yesterday (but I didn't get it until today due to campus mail systems), so I'd say shipping was pretty speedy. All clasps were working well, not difficult to open or reattach.Functionality and Aesthetics One of the reasons I chose this case (initially, the more expensive real leather one) was because it used a snap-clasp system for adjusting positions. I felt that this was the most secure non-magnet method of propping it up and using it on the go, as I plan to use my iPad for on the go editing of books and articles.
I have a university project of creating an electronic data and formulae book for iPad. I have started with a master view controller and have filled in the table with the chapters of the book. I would like to tap each chapter to push on to show the pages of the book and would like to use a page view controller here. I currently have a table view which pushes on to show an image i have inserted. Please could you explain or provide an example of how I can insert a page view controller after the table view so that i can tap on the table cells and be pushed on to a page view controller containing images of the pages of the book. I am new to XCode and apps..
This is a link to a Chinese Canadian newspaper. It's a scanned copy made available to the public. Needless to say, I was unable to view it with the latest iPad at a Best Buy.Is it safe to assume that this page cannot be viewed because it requires a flash plugin ?
I have alot of line art i would like to color using the ipad. I like to keep line art and color layers separate. I have Layers, SketchBook Pro, Art Studio, ect. apps. pogo sketch.the Sketchbook app has the ability under itunes to add files, but I cannot access them.
Layers is advertised as being able to export to layered PSD files, but the app seems to glitch. How do i transfer back and forth any layered art file:PSD, TIFF, or PDF? What am I missing to make the ipad a nice painting tablet?

One of my major gripes about the iPhone is that the Photos app resizes Large JPEGs losing all detail. There are third party apps that allow you to import large JEPGs and Tiff but the zoom and pan quality/speed is dreadful (at least on the iPhone 3G). Does the iPad allow import of such images and is the performance when zoomed in any good (particularly for large Tiff files)?
