View 1 RepliesLast night was playing around on my iPad3, the battery level got down to 19% so I hooked to the charger for overnight. This morning, open it up from "sleep mode" & I've got a Message in the center of the screen saying something like "No memory room left in iCloud for Backup, buy more space in Settings - then the buttons CANCEL or SETTINGS". Since I've never continuously backed up to iCloud & don't intend to, I tried hitting the CANCEL Button... nothing... tried CANCEL again... nothing... tried SETTINGS... nothing.
So, I closed the iPad to put it to sleep for a minute, reopened & the SAME THING happened. I then hooked the iPad3 to the charger cable hoping it would jolt it somehow out of it's froze mode... no luck. Then I tried holding down the Power Button to turn the blasted thing off & the "Slide to Power Off" came on the screen but it would not Slide when I drug my finger across it....
My sons ipad has a frozen screen.A notification has come up from icloud saying there isn't enough storage space to back the ipad up and says got to settings or close. Both settings and close illuminate when you touch them but it doesn't do anything. I'm unable to power off as the screen is unresponsive although it did allow me to close the apps that were running. I thought the best thing would to be to allow the batter to run out so it would power off but there is 80% power remaining and as it cant be used i'm not sure the battery power will run out?

The icloud backup message won't go away when I click ok.
View 1 RepliesHave they enabled this feature yet in beta 3? If so how does one set it up and how does it work in this test phase?
View 1 RepliesMy MPB crashed and I had not backed it up with all my music apps and most important all my photos. I was able to get all my photos off my iPad with a app called Photo Transfer that worked great. I'm using the iCloud now to back up and sync my iPad. So at this point there is no need to plug my iPad into my computer to sync right but what about photos I have downloaded from the web, how are those added to my iPad, I'm assuming ill need to plug my iPad into the computer to transfer them? Now I have not re downloaded all my apps or videos and music in iTunes on my newly reformatted MPB, should I do that or no need because iCloud syncs all my apps so in other words if i had to do a restore on my iPad with iCloud all my stuff is there with out plugging it into my computer and sync from that?
View 5 RepliesI keep getting "Incomplete Backup" to iCloud on both my iPad and iPhone.
I've gone through all the recommended procedures, shut down auto backup on both, and restarted it on both, deleted the backups on my my iCloud account using iCloud on my PC, made sure the WiFi (8Mbit) was working and the iPhone and iPad were locked and plugged into the chargers.
I still have teh orginal iPad, anxiously awaiting the next one. As such mine has gotten slow and it crashes a lot! Especially since upgrading to 5.x.
My question is, with the iCloud and all now, what's the best way to backup and restore? Should I restore to 5.01 and simply reload the apps I want or do a restore from iCloud backup?
I always get a message saying "There was a problem enabling iCould Backup".Why is that?I have 20GB data on my iPad, but I only get 5GB storage. Does that have anything to do with it? Will I be able to upload certain things to iCloud, but not others, for example music but not videos?
View 5 RepliesMy iPhone 4 backs up to iCloud (my music is also stored in iCloud) - if I buy an iPad & sign into iCloud on it, will it download all my apps as well as everything else stored in the cloud?
View 6 RepliesIcloud Has not been able to back up in four weeks. It just spins and stops. It is locked connected to wifi and plugged in. Can not seem to get it to do a successful backup. Seems to have started with upgraded software.
View 1 RepliesIs there a way of backing up an iPad to Time Machine, just as I am accustomed to backing up my OS X systems?
I do not want to use iCloud or iTunes for backup.

I shared an apple ID with a friend on my iPhone and my iPad and then she moved out and changed her password. I have some apps that I have purchased with her ID and then with my own ID, all out of my bank account, but I can't update the ones with her ID bc she changed the password. Can I utilize the iCloud somehow to delete the apps all together on my phone and iPad and then reinstall them?

Not clear on this but if I backup my iPad to iCloud can I also back it up to iTunes or is it just one or the other? Will my paid apps still be in iTunes if I back up to iCloud? Should or could I back up to both and would my apps still be able to be retrieved from both iTunes and iCloud? Haven't used iCloud yet and everything is backed up in iTunes.
View 5 RepliesWhen I get my new iPad, I'll need to get my content from my iPad 1 as discussed elsewhere here. It seems, from what I'm hearing, it's easier to just backup from iTunes. Not everything is backed up via iCloud and people are having to get the rest of their "stuff" from iTunes.
I don't need to have my content sync'd with other devices so maybe I should delete iCloud and stay with iTunes which means I'll have to hook up to iTunes on a regular basis to sync rather than just a plug-in.
Plus, I don't know if iTunes has a limit for keeping content whereas iCloud has a limit and they charge for extra storage space.

Been having a consistent issue where my iPad 2 (running iOS 7) won't backup to iCloud. Doesn't matter if I trigger the backup manually or just plug it into power and let it do its thing overnight.
Example: right now the progress bar is at around 15-20% and the time left indicates less than one minute. It's been that way for the past hour.
how do you restore an iCloud backup when you have apps from a US and EU accounts? Everything is frayed out, only managed to restore the US apps.
View 2 RepliesHow can i view the backed up content on iClouds like the camera roll pics, since i have the pics there on iCloud and i want to save on the space on my iPad i want to delete it from my iPad if i can see it over iCloud.
