I've been using the Ipad2 and everything was working fine until today. I tried reseting etc....†
When I check my email I get "Cannot get mail the mail server "mail.bigpond.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings"†In the safari I get: Cannot open page Safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server.†
My Ipad is fairly new and everything is working perfectly only today I get this problem, my wifi is connected and I get a strong signal strenght.†
All of a sudden after three months my yahoo mail can't be accessed. I noticed that I can still receive email from my gmail account. I tried rebooting but it's still happening. I also tried opening safari and going into yahoo there, but I couldn't. The weird thing is I can get yahoo email fine on my MacBook.
Just updated my ipad 2 to an ipad air. I'm extremely happy with it except I can't connect it to my gmail through exchange. All the information and settings are exactly the same as my ipad 2, but it still is not working. I still have my ipad 2 also and it's working fine connecting to exchange.
When I attempt to open a site Safari says it is unable to connect to server.  The iPad says it is connected to the network and the network is functioning but neither Safari nor email can connect with the server.  I have reset the modem and the router, forgotten the network on the iPad and then reentered, and turned the iPad off and on.
My ipad 2 suddenly started saying 'cannot connect to server' after not being used for a few hours, although in settings it is connected. iPad works fine other than wi fi. My iphone and laptop can both get internet.
I have tried
-turning ipad off and on again -unplugging wi fi and re starting -using 'forget this network' and rejoining
I received a new iPad 4 through work.  Upgraded to iOS 7.1.2, but now I'm not able to connect to the Exchange server.  Contacted IT through work, they have no idea how to correct it.  They say all of my settings are fine.  The error message says "Cannot Get Mail   The connection to the server failed."

Ok I've never used iPhone so this may seem basic question. I downloaded MSN on iPad. Now do I use my normal pc id or do I need to set up new one? When i use my old one it says cannot connect to pc server????
I am getting a message on both device that says "Cannot Connect to Server"this is when I click on Safari, Weather App, or when I want to use the internet.I have At&t,both Wi-Fi and 3 G and both icons are showing at the top indicating I have service,I have four bars for my Wi-Fi. This problem started yesterday,I re-booted and it worked fine for about 5 mins then I started getting the same message again.
I have just got an Ipad and tried to set up my mail server.I have a server that has SMTP on port 25 and IMAP configured on the default port 143, nothing special. In addition, I have port 144 for secure IMAP and 26 for secure SMTP. SSL is a self signed certificate for a custom root that is installed in all devices that allow it.I use SSL exclusively here and every laptop, desktop and other device works fine with it.I first tried to set the Ipad up with this, but when it did not work, I deleted the account and tried the non secure standard 25/143.The failure message - "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server "name" failed." happens straight after entering the mail application. After many failures,I turned on logging on my mail server and found whenever I attempted to retrieve emails, the following message happens:TCPConnection - SSL handshake with client failed. Error code:
Both my iPad and my ipod touch have suddenly stopped being able to access the internet. Both were working fine a few hours ago. My PC is connected to the internet fine via my wireless connection.I can connect to my wifi router from both the ipad and ipod and the signal is strong. For a moment when I found my new toy the iPad wansn't connecting I thought 'oh no it might have a fault' so then went to check my ipod and got the same thing -so at least that should rule out a singular fault with the ipad.
Is it just me? The iPad Maps app won't let me scroll, search or zoom. I get an error that says I cannot connect to the server, or I get a "server error". I can go to Google Maps via Safari and it works just fine. Is this a 3G only application? All other connectivity works. It's also weird that so many areas have no detail on the iPad's Safari look at Google Maps, when the same locations have full terrain and close-up views on my computer.
I have recently aquired an Ipad the first one. 32G I play Angry Birds and Words with Friends and Hanging with friends. I have had for a few months and no problems until recently where It says cant connect to game server or the sending just sits and never sends. I have full strength WiFi the only resolution that I can find is completely shut down and restart. Good for about 10 to 15 minutes, then it just sits again. I read somewhere that I should turn off the auto brightness I have done that and still have the same problem.
Even though my wifi is still connected, safari keeps losing connection to the 'server' - i then have to quit the background app & load up again. Ive been into safari settings and reset everything, seemed ok for abit then started again. Happens alot on this site aswel.
I can load..facebook for example when i get the message and that is fine, all 'internet' based apps work when i get the safari message, so..cant be my wifi?
