I recently updated the operating system on the my son's ipad 2. I know have 2 issues
1) itunes does not start up when I plug in my ipad
2) all my music is greyed out and does not play.

I am 'taking over' my son's ipad.I got iTunes to sync, but I can't get it to show as a device, nor can i sync the apps between my iphone, ipad, and Mac.

Sony replaced my broken laptop with a new Vaio Fit 15E and after setting it all up i went to plug my Ipad in and it doesn't install the drivers or show up in itunes, it just makes the bong sound that your computer makes when you unplug a USB device. But over and over.
Windows 8.1 . I made sure i ran all sony updates, all windows updates, and all driver updates but nothing..Ipad still connects on my very old toshiba..Can i download the drivers from the net?
I just switched from OS X to a Windows 8 computer.
I just installed iTunes and synced my iPad Mini with the Windows 8 computer using the USB cord. When I disconnected the cord my iPad no longer shows up in iTunes. I know there must be a way to sync it with iTunes while connected to the same WIFI network, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I don't see the iPad in my Windows Explorer either anymore.
my iPad worked fine for over a year. Plugged it to sync today and iTunes doesn't show up. iPhoto did open so connection is good. I updated both computer and ipad. also restarted both.

I don't have time to reinstall every piece of apple software and reinstall it. I'll just sell the ipad and get a Linux tablet when it comes out.

I rented a movie from iTunes on my iMac and I was able to successfully sync it to my iPhone. However, when I synched my iPad, the rental did not appear on any iTunes screen. Shouldn't I be able to move a movie I rented from iTunes on my desktop to my iPad?
View 3 RepliesI have a new Macbook Pro 2.66 / 8 GB, 15" and an iPad and an iPhone. The problem is that every now and then - about once a day or so, iTunes doesn't see the iPad or iPhone when they are plugged in. The device starts charging but there is no indication that a sync is occuring.
Following the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1747 I reinstall iTunes and replace the AppleMobileDevice kexts and then things are fine, but after another day or so the problem occurs again. I have not been able to determine what might be causing that. Any idea?

on my iPad 3, itunes doesn't show the subscribe button for podcasts. Infact the button shows up for a while and then disappears. How can I fix this issue?

I am using 4 gen Ipad with retnia and when i updated from 6.12 to 7.1.1 i notice the usage and standby where not showin only a slsh , so i fully charged ipad to 100 percent and still not showing.
It does say Usage times will be shown after IPad is fully charged, well it is and still no numbers is this normal? or does the battery percentage have to drop below 100 percent?
I setup Gmail as my default email and everything works fine except it doesn't show my contacts when I compose an email. To get around this I also added my yahoo account and in the mail settings under my yahoo account I unchecked all the boxes except my contacts. Now when I compose a Gmail email it will show my contacts. My question is why doesn't my contacts show up with just having my Gmail account setup? Do I have to leave it this way for it to work correctly?

Same result.But now my Mail on the iPad is telling me that there are three mails which couldn't be sent.
