why does my ipad 1 keep crashing since latest update

iPad, iOS 5.1
My iPad 2 with 3G and 32GB storage is having problems with Safari crashing. In Settings, I cleared Safari web info but Safari is unusable and all web pages crash and then goes back to the desktop. Web pages load to about 90% before it quits. Something is definitely wrong with this iPad.
View 5 RepliesIs there a reason why Safari is crashing so often the past two weeks.
My iPad usually crashes a couple of times before an update but never as much as now. I can't use Safari more than a minute or so.
the last week it has recently started crashing when using safari, so I toke everything off and did a restore then put everything back on, it worked for about 2hours and then started crashing again.

View 12 RepliesAre there any fixes for the iPad 2 IOS 8.1.1? I've had problems with Safari and other Apps crashing or locking up, and with extremely slow touch response. These problems have been occurring since the last update. At times the iPad becomes unusable. I have been keeping all programs closed and history and web site data cleared.

My ipad 5.1.1 version keeps crashing when in safari or in itunes or viewing apps I tried to reset it nothing happened ....
View 4 RepliesI have owned my iPad 3 for more than a year now and I have never encountered this problem but ever since I have updated to the latest iOS version(7.1.1), my safari keeps crashing on my community site where threads have maybe over a 100 comments in them.
Now whenever I open a thread page on Safari, it loads for a few seconds then crashes, to make things worse for me is one in a while when it crashes, it reboots my iPad.
How do I prevent my Safari from crashing everytime I open a thread? (I have already tried other browsing apps such as Google Search and Chrome, they still crash. I even tried letting it load half-way and then stopping it but it isn't going well.)
I think it is a crash, it suddenly goes black and takes me to the desktop. This was occurring this morning as I was browsing Apple.com's HTML5 showcase page. I've done a restore without effect, and am doing another now. Also I seem to have to 'click' on links several times, before they are submitted.Mac Pros; MacBook Pros Powermacs and others (680x0->Intels))Mac OS X (10.6.3)Mac User since 1984; Iv never had to use Windows :-Q
View 1 RepliesI have been having crashing problems the last 2 weeks when I am on safari, I am having some sites crash and I end up at my home screen. I have been using other app's for some time without crashing, now like safari, a few of those are crashing also, always back to home screen.I have not backed up since April, but do update my app's, and I also have not upgraded the OS, and until about 2 weeks ago everything worked almost as well as it should have, except for the ongoing wifi problem that seems better now with some work arounds. Is this problem due to the app's, or more problems with the Ipad?
View 1 RepliesSince this morning, Safari on my iPad 1 (V. 4.3) will open for a second then close automatically. I have tried to open it many many times and the same happens every time.
All other Apps were originally ok, but now some others are doing the same too. (since restoring)
1) Deleted History & Cookies.
2) Powered off numerous times and left off for a while.
3) Restored the iPad and reinstalled a back up. (See note below)
4) Removed the Apps that I installed over the last few days
5) Soft Reset (Pressing Home & Power button at same time)
Unfortunately, I did a back up this morning so can only restore my iPad to the backup of this morning which seems to have have the same problems.
Has anyone else noticed Safari crashing on the IPad since the 4.2.1 update?
It does not seem to matter which website that I go to. Usually a newspaper or a weather site will make it crash. I can restart Safari and go right back to the site with no problem at all. It's the initial load of the site that will crash Safari.

Safari on my iPad is crashing fairly frequently; sometimes when I restart it retains the pages that were previously open, and sometimes not.
Have not yet established a pattern, but it seems prevalent on very large pages (for example pages with many images) and on pages with embedded video (particularly Flash).
Anyone else experiencing the same issue and/or have any further information? Anybody using a browser other than Safari on the iPad?
Information:
Mac OS X (10.5.1)
I got my iPad yesterday and used it without a problem for about 6 hours. Today however Safari has crashed twice and required a full OS restart to get it going again.
View 4 RepliesWhy all of a sudden safari started to crash? It just close without warning and put me back on the springboard.
View 3 RepliesThe screen will just fade black and not allow me to open any new tabs or close any pages
View 3 RepliesIs this some kind of joke Apple threw in with 5.0? Safari is crashing every 5 minutes when viewing web pages, this is unacceptable. Only have had this problem since upgrading to 5.0.
iPad (V1 32GB) running 5.0
So far, I've cleared the cache and history and it still crashes constantly.
Has anybody been having issues with wunderground crashing Safari on their iPad?
