I have an iPad 2 64 GB It has for a number of months intermittently stopped responding to any touch screen inputs. This issue began almost as soon as I opened the iPad for the first time. As it was happening very rarely and normally responded eventually, so I thought nothing of it. This week the iPad will not respond to any touch input at all (Home, On/Off, Volume and Mute buttons still respond). I have tried the hard reset process a number of times and still nothing. I backed up the device to my machine and applied the latest update 5.1.1 and still no response. I then did a factory reset and still nothing. I have never dropped or damaged my iPad in any way. Does anybody know of any ongoing issues with the touch screen or a solution to this problem?

I have New IPad for two days, and found so many defect, I don't know it's normal or not.
1. A small area at the bottom of the screen - the band two millimeters in height does not respond to touch, it's a problem, or so conceived?
2. Sometimes after a sleep, it goes crazy, opening programs, leafing through the screens, why?
3. When it horizontal position, the button on the right home, not working new tab bottom in Safari.

Today I freaked out over a line of dead pixels (with a dark black pixel at the center and then it fades away to the top and bottom of the screen) on my iPad 2 screen. I tried some YouTube videos with colored backgrounds but I read it is not effective for dead pixels (black). Also, I noticed that the line is aligned with one of folding lines of the smart cover so I thought it was the reason.

I just bought a new ipad last week and for some reason the screen has completely gone dark within the past couple of days. I can barely make out anything on the screen. I have tried restarting it but with no luck. I have also managed to get to the settings page a few times to try to change the brightness and even reset all of the settings, but nothing has changed - it is still very dark and practically impossible to see anything.
Has anyone else had this problem?
