I-PAD Mini fails to connect to WIFI home network using U-Verse. Several laptops and other devices have no problem connecting using the key for a WPA2-Personal secured connection. I have tried automatic and manual, (192.168.1.254), connection but I-PAD Minis fail to connect, (two different I-PADS Mini). I also spent about an hour online with I-PAD support but they were unable to supply a resolution.
View 5 RepliesI recently got my ipad mini retina display. I did all the normal set up...ok this is where it doesn't make sense here. I went to setting and turn on wifi. The wifi pick up my home network and as I click on it, i input the password. So I assume its ok now I'll be able to get on wifi with no problem. Sadly that is not the case. My home network keep loading and loading and it won't connect to my home network.

My mini with retinal display has worked flawlessly since Xmas. Today it lost connection and will not reconnect. In General Settings the network (home) is there, but will not connect. I have turned off router and mini, turned them back on at the same time and at different times without any resolution to this problem.

My iPad mini keeps dropping my home wifi internet connection... "Can't find network". This happens regularly so I try my iPhone and/or notepad which both connect with a strong signal. Same router, same house, same room even sitting in same chair !! frustrating,
tried obvious, reboot iPad etc but wondering if just normal for iPad mini or if It's a problem machine covered under warranty.

You cannot connect to a wifi network (even if it is unsecured), unless you are about 10cm away from the router. You have tried 6.0.2, you have restored settings, you are even using an Airport base station... nothing works. But if you check further, I reckon you will find you can connect to 5ghz networks properly, but not 2.4ghz networks unless right up close.You need to get your iPad switched out for a new one.My replacement worked just fine.

I have been using my IPad for about a month and successfully connecting to my in-home WiFi every day. This morning I must have done something because I can no longer connect.
I have the WiFi model only (no 3G) and operating under OS 3.2.1.
My WiFi is working for all other wireless connected computers in the house so that is not the problem.
I have just bought the iPad 3 and cannot connect to my home wifi network as when it asks for password it won't allow the join button to highlight so I can't tap it to join.

View 2 RepliesI have the iPad 64G and I am tiring to connect it to my Netgear WNDR3300 with the 2.4GHz radio disabled and only the 5GHz N radio enabled.
I can only get my iPad to connect if I turn off all wireless security. I have tried WEP (64bit and 128bit), WPA (AES, TKIP, AES+TKIP), WPA 2 (AES, TKIP, AES+TKIP). None of these configurations worked.
I am using 5GHz N because there are too many 2.4GHz wifi routers in my area and want to be on the less crowded 5GHz band.

I just had my Ipad Wifi+3G (Ipad-1) for a week. I was able to connect to various hotspots, however it was mostly fail to connect to Motorola Defy '3G mobile Hotspot'. For other devices connection, my Motorola Defy (firmware V2.1 update-) Wifi works normally as 3G Mobile hotspot. The error message is "unable to join the network MB525 xxxx". Without changing the setting, it happened to work once only, after that never successful again.
Have checked Google search and Android Forum, no clues.
Title says it all, bought a 64gig iPad wifi today...little did i know tons of users are having wifi problems...my problem doesnt seem to fit the others though. Most of what i've read people can connect for a bit,
and after being in sleep mode then it has problems. I can't even connect to my home network. Works fine with my ipod Touch, laptop, etc. I dont have any form of security set up on my router what so ever. I plan on buying a new router soon (for reasons other than this iPad crap.)
I'd really like to see some kind of resolution to this problem before i need to do that though.I tried all that i could out of the trouble shooting stuff. nothing worked. I even tried setting up a static IP for it. What else can be done? i really dont want to have to return it since its such a nice piece of tech.

Current network at home connects pc to laptop and printer, but new ipad2 will not accept the password that works just fine for the laptop connection. thus, rejects wifi connection.
View 3 RepliesiPad mini was working until around 6 PM, where it just stopped connecting to wifi and internet just stopped.
Tried all methods that was discussed in the past post, including turning off the router off for 30 seconds and on again and then going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings, Forget this Network, hard reset, putting the iPad in airplane mode and out, resetting to Factory Default, etc.
The connection is not limited to just my home wifi network, but it would not connect to my local Starbucks, school wifi, or even my friend's house.
My iPad is not connecting to my home wi-fi network. It was fine up until the latest update it seems. I have restarted everything (iPad and network) and nothing seems to work. My iPhone is connecting just fine to my home network.

My iPad II won't locate my home wi-fi network. It worked in the morning, then I took it to a meeting and used their wi-fi. Once I brought it home, it would not reconnect as it generally does.
