IPad 3 :: Stuck In Endless Recovery Loop / Data At Risk
May 13, 2012
I have ipad 3 + 5.1.1. Yesterday while browsing it went into recovery mode on its own.
1. I tried DFU (Redsn0w 09.b2) and recovery mode but it is not getting out of recovery mode at all.
2. I tried Tinyumbrella 5.11, Reboot 2.1 doesn't work.
Have tons of data NOT backed up. Don't want to lose it. Its gone into an endless recovery mode loop. It is not jailbroken. Latest backup not on icloud.
How to recover my iPad files I was on youtube and locked the device when I came back to the device it crashed to the recovery screen. I have tried everything to pop it out of a recovery loop It had iOS 6 on it and I wanted to know if there was any hope of recovering my files. Ide be willing to try anything (No backups, or iCloud backups have been made either). Idealy I would need something to either dump the system memory to my hard drive I dont believe the data to be deleted (I can get into DFU Mode).
ive got a ipad 2 wifi + 3G FW 4.3.5, it seems that what i do still error 1013 pops out and i got stuck in recovery loop.. i tried so many things like editing the Hosts file for Win7 or OSX.. using tinyumbrella etc. still it wont make a complete restore. i also used 4 computer ( hp win7, MBpro, MBWhite, and Mac mini) still error 1013 pops out and fix recovery 4.3 doesnt work, even recboot..
I have an Ipad that I tried to Jailbreak. I used the greenp0ison method. It got half way and just hang for an hour. So I reset the Ipad. Now all it does is goes in to DFU mode. I can restore but every time I restore it goes back in to DFU mode. All I have is a black screen. I've tried running it on both MAC and PC to restore. I tried to restore normally and with a custom rom. I also tried tinyumbrella. The program allows me to kick it out of dfu mode and in to what it calls recovery mode (White screen) Once I tried to restore back in to DFU I go.
I recently upgraded cydia on my tethered 4.2.1 ipad 1. At the end of the process it rebooted my ipad for me. I have rebooted my ipad before and had no problems tethering again, but this time I am not able to go into DFU or Recovery Mode, and it is stuck at the apple logo and restarts every few minutes. It will not boot enough to even connect to my computer through usb.
I have a mini iPad which is just restarting. He arrives at the black screen with the logo, the mace, and restarts. It all started when I installed an app that can not even remember the name, then he started to reboot from time to time. The night I turned off the machine when I sleep and after that started this infinite loop.
I've tried: * Restore Mode (When will start the restore process, iTunes can not communicate with the iPad, because is restarting). * Reset * Leave the battery runs out (It was about 2 months without charge, with the battery already exhausted, yet the charging signal appeared when trying to connect, and today when I try the loop again persisted). The unit was in the last version of iOS and without jailbreak. It's a 32gb wifi iPad mini.
I can no longer download apps to my iPad due to an endless loop asking me to enter a valid credit card. This happens in iTunes and in the iPad's app store. The credit cards I've used to purchase apps have $25,000+ limits and just worked two days ago in iTunes. I've used them just today for other minor purchases elsewhere. I have tried 6 different credit cards with $20,000+ limits, with the correct addresses, security codes, and everything perfect. None are working now. Itunes loops and keeps saying "Your credit card was declined. This happens also when I try to set it up with two different VALID Paypal accounts.I can't even download FREE apps now! What gives? I'm on the latest version of iTunes.
I have created keynote slideshow of some family photos in my iPad 3 recently. After that, whenever I open the key note app, this presentation begins to play automatically in an endless loop. Is there any way we can prevent this?
I tried upgrading my jailbroken ipad to 6.1.3 but unfortunately itunes gave me an error. So the ipad's stuck in recovery right now and i tried every way to fix it. i tried TU, ifaith, redsnow and the button clicking. i am stuck right now and i dont know what else to do. But i am thinking of downloading an ipsw hoping that i can use that as a restore software and just sync my apps later.
I haven't been able to update my iPad because of error 3194. I've tried everything to find a fix, including using multiple computers, and nothing is working. Now my iPad is stuck in a recovery loop, and i cant restore it because of this error. I've tried using Tiny Umbrella and Redsn0w to kick it out of recovery mode and neither of them work. I've also tried restoring to the current firmware, 5.1.1, and 6.0.1, and again, neither worked.
I tried upgrading to 8.1 on my ipad 3 and now I'm stuck in recovery mode where I see the little itunes icon and a picture of the usb cable. I tried several third party software things and tried upgrading through itunes, but it tells me my ipad can't be upgraded and I have to click restore. Of course, you know the rest.
Anyway, is there any way to get around this? Reiboot and several others will get it to exit recovery mode, but it goes right back into it. If I DO restore, is there some way to recover my lost photos afterwards?
We are in the middle of traveling and my wifes Ipad is acting up. Since shes used it to store a majority of her pictures restoring it isnt our first choice as she hasnt had a computer to back it up to since she left a month ago.Right now its caught in a recovery mode loop, I tried to manually kick it out of recovery mode, as well as using applications like recboot, and iRecover etc etc to no avail.
I used iRecover to set the auto-boot to true and it fails and brings me back to the plug into itunes screen. When I load iRecover the error I get is "kernal image not valid"
is there ANYTHING i can do to get the data off this iPad? would jailbreaking this work? (3.2.2) Are there any Linux apps to mount this as an external device? We will be in Bangkok next week but are afraid to have an overzealous apple employee restore the ipad and wipe everything on it.
My iPad 2 is stuck in a set up loop on iOS beta 5. I have a dev account so that is not the issue here. Once the iPad finishes the set up load all my apps and such and the before I can tap anything goes back to the set up process. Pretty sure I just need to restore and be done with it, but I don't really want to since I am lazy and don't ever back up and haven't done a back up since I did the upgrade to iOS 5.
Ipad Mini (7.1.2) First stuck in Restart Loop, after restoring through Recovery mode, DFU mode it came back to life. But after sometime it again went into dead state. Now while charging with Wall Charger it shows itunes logo. PC is not detecting it. PC only detects it when I put it into DFU mode. But after extracting software, iPad screen flashes for once. And itunes stucks in "Waiting for iPad"? iPad, iOS 7.1.2
My Ipad 2 4.3.3 jb could not be turned off so i reset all settings wit restrictions code. I finally ended up with a resetting status bar which could't complete(stops nearly at the beginning). the Ipad then resets and the very known pleasant loop has already begun.
i am on vacation and don't have my computer with me. The Ipad is really loaded. Do you please have a solution without restoring? Can i do something with ifunbox for example?
I have a 3rd generation iPad that's a WiFi only model and the 64GB model. I have been using a version of iOS 7 on it for awhile and at times it would mysteriously reboot. I could be in the middle of using it or I could even not be using it at all and simply see it restart.
With the release of iOS 8 I installed the new version hoping it may fix this issue. Sadly it got much worse. I was able to get into the device a few times but for the last 5-6 days I can't get into it. It simply is stuck into a constant reboot loop. It shows the Apple logo like it's restarting but it never fully restarts. It makes a sound like a beep and then begins restarting once again. This is a never ending loop. I even left it unplugged so that the battery would run down and then plugged it in again but that didn't work. I also read on Google how you can put it into restore mode by pressing the home button while connecting to the computer/iTunes but that also didn't work.
I don't know if upgrading to iOS 8.0.2 will fix the problem. Probably not but I've never done a reset. The iPad was backed up about 2 weeks ago to iCloud so I'd like to get into it if possible to do a factory reset and wipe the device so that I can upgrade to iOS 8.0.2 and then reinstall all apps. Yet I don't know how to do this if I can't get into the device.
I have tried the reset where I hold down the sleep/wake button the same time as the home button but that doesn't work. I also tried connecting it to iTunes to do a reset but it won't let me do anything with it unless I enter the passcode on the iPad and it never boots to the point of where I can do that. Also, I thought of doing a reset on iCloud (marking it as a lost iPad to do a reset) but I realize this will only work if it boots enough to get to iCloud.
The other day I decided to give my Ipad it's long awaited system update, alls good, it starts installing I go to bed, however during the night it must have run out of charge as it died. Now I am stuck in a loop of it charging, turning on, asking to be restored and then running out of battery again (or so it says).
I reckon the problem is the brightness is at max and the restore screen does not seem to turn off, so it sits there draining what little battery my ipad has accumulated in a never ending loop. My charger isn't apple branded but it runs at 5.1 volts (I believe that's just over 2 amps?) I think that is enough although I could be wrong? I was hoping you good people would be able to tell me. If it is meant to be enough, is there any way I can turn the ipad off during this loop at any point while still charging it?

My iPad is stuck in a boot loop. I've tried DFU and recovery mode with no success. I get different errors: 1601, 1611, 2001, and still other ones. Apple's site recommends me to check the connection. But my iPod Touch is syncing normally, and I've been trying two cables. And I've been trying on a PC and on a MacBook.
When I google my problem, most of the links are about jailbroken iPads, but mine is not.
I have a new Ipad (The model between Ipad 2 and Ipad 3). It is stuck in the boot loop where the battery symbol comes on, then the apple logo appears and then the ipad runs out of charge despite being connected to the charger. It repeats this loop over and over again.
I have tried the following:Trying different cables and chargers. Pressing the home and power buttons at the same time when the apple icon appears. (The ipad won't stay on for 10 secs so i cannot get the power icon to switch it off and reboot.)Connecting the ipad to a computer when I get an icon that says connect to itunes. (Again, the ipad does not stay on long enough to complete recover mode. It only stays on for 8-9 seconds.)
I was visiting the YouTube website because the App only let's you post comments a couple of times before it says unavailable. On YouTube the capture kicks in to prevent spam but there you have the option to fill it in.
Anyway, I'm asked to log in on the main site and it triggers launching the App. Now every time I return to Safari it continues to immediately do it again. I don't have time to close the tab. I've tried wiping, history cookies and cache in the settings but that didn't work.
I've had to install the Atomic browser to come here. I don't want to do a full reset of everything just for this. I'm away from my desktop.
I have a second hand iPad 2 that will not restore. It is stuck in recovery.I have tried using redsnow and Tiny Umbrella to get it out of recovery mode but as soon as it reboots it goes right back into recovery mode.If I try to restore with iTunes I get error 9.I have tried 3 different computers and 2 different cables. If I try to manually make it go into DFU the closest I have gotten is instead of a recovery mode screen I get a low battery screen with the lightning bolt and plug and the red minimal battery. At that point, if I connect it to a wall charger after a few minutes of charging it goes right back into the recovery mode screen.
As the subject line says, I've just jailbroken my iPad (3G, 32G, iOS 3.2.1), and all was going well until I installed WinterBoard and it asked me to reboot. Now all I see it the white Apple logo for a few seconds then it reboots spontaneously, and this repeats forever.
Is this a know issue?
I assume I'll be able to restore my iPad when I get home and it will work normally again...
I have an iPad 1 i jail-broke it but when I went onto YouTube app it said "could not connect to you tube" I deleted some files and rebooted my iPad and when it came back it was in recovery mode, i tried everything to come out of its recovery mode but it doesn't work so then I tried restoring it but it wouldn't even come up in iTunes! So its stuck in Recovery Mode, Cant connect it to iTunes to restore it and i cant use it at all.
I have an iPad 1 that failed during a firmware update and is stuck in DFU mode. This leads me to believe that it is not a hardware error like Apple wants you to believe.
I've searched for a solution and have tried the following:
Use iTunes to perform recovery. I tried the Shift + Update method as well (Firmware 5.1.1) and I get Error 37 every time. I have tried this on several PC / MACs at different locations, several USB cables, so Apple's idea of it being a security / connection issue is null.
The furthest I have gotten is with several versions of redsn0w: -Enter redsn0w, click Extras, click Select IPSW, choose 5.1.1. -Go back, choose jailbreak but not install Cydia (when I do that, I always get "Exploit Failed") -Text of the progress is displayed on the iPad, then logo of Pineapple with headband appears. -Moving applications appears for awhile, then Rebooting. -The screen goes Black.
I click Just Boot, and the Pineapple Logo appears for a minute or two. This is replaced with an Apple Logo for about 2 seconds, then Pineapple again for 5 seconds. Then a spinning wheel appears for about 10 seconds. After that, the screen goes black and am still in DFU mode.
Then, I try iTunes restore to see if it will work, and I just get Error 37.
I was on 5.1.1 and I downloaded the 6.1 firmware for my ipad. When I tried to update it failed for some reason and put my ipad into recovery mode. Now when I try to restore my ipad to the 6.1 file i downloaded I get error message 3194 (which is apparently the requested build isnt compatible with my ipad" But i think i downloaded the right one.
My ipad is model A1416 (Ipad 3 wifi). I've got build iPad3,1_6.1_10B141_Restore
