I very often get messages on my iPad that says the yahoo mail password is incorrect - and when I go to Settings sure enough that's correct - but I can reset it and go right back to settings and it is changed again - I have never had a password problem using yahoo mail in a browser. I contacted Apple - they had me do a reset, but that has not fixed the problem.

View 2 RepliesI brought a 64Gb IP2 in the US and they set it up for my email account in the store. It's wi-fi only, not 3G (hope that is the right term to use) as I have Iphone4 and didn't see the point of carrying the IP2 around for i'net.Anyway, it worked fine in my house in the UK off my home router (I think it asked me for the password etc for the router when I 1st used it), made a noise when new mail arrived (at least that's what I think it was) - all was well.I work in Oman, so have brought it with me and we have wi-fi in the office and my Ipad picks up internet, yahoo, google, the UK newspapers etc etc and my yahoo mail (but only via the yahoo.com site) + all other i'net sites without problem.However, I tried to send something via pages to my work email account, just experimenting with the whole thing really, but nothing happens. No error message and non delivery.
So, I check my email in settings and also try to reset my mail account in mail, contacts, calendars & after trying to verify it, it comes back with an error message "apple.impa.mail.yahoo.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "incoming Mail Server" field.The primary server of the account is Yahoo!SMTP server and it's switched to on. The outgoing mail server is Yahoo!SMTP Server.This is now the limit of my Ipad logic trail . Can anybody help me set up my yahoo account so it works and also so I can send pages please?
I found that the Bulk Mail folder is getting greyed out on my iPad 2 while I access Yahoo mail. Since then, I am not able to move spam to that folder. Is there any fix available for this issue?
View 2 RepliesI have an iPad mini and iPad 4 running 7.1.2 and as of this morning neither can update nor send my Yahoo mail using the ipad mail app. The Yahoo mail app works ok.
When ii try to send mail from the ipad mail app th has always worked befor, on both machines I get the message -- "Cannot send mail. The connection to the apple.smtp.mail.yahoo.com failed".
When I tried deleting and reinstalling that mail account on one iPad I couldn't put in the smtp.mail.yahoo.com address for outgoing mail since the iPad comes back saying that it can't set up smtp for that account. Nevertheless my Yahoo iPad app still continues to work on that iPad.
I am not getting any incoming mails while accessing Yahoo mail through mail app in my iPad 2. Is there any solution available for sorting this issue?

View 1 RepliesI have two Yahoo accounts and both were working fine till recently. I changed the password for both the Yahoo accounts and since then one is not working. It gives me the error message "the user name or password for apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com is incorrect". Please note the password is same for both Yahoo accounts and hence there should not be an issue with password have non-alphanumeric characters. Obviously, I am entering the user name and email address correctly.

Just got my iPad and everything seems to be working fine except Yahoo Mail. Idid some investigating using my iPhone 4. I could get my Yahoo Mail with the iPhone 4 without any issues. What I discovered is that after I upgraded to iOS5 on my phone I can no longer get Yahoo Mail when I'm connected to my WiFi, but if I turn off WiFi I can check my mail just fine. Since my iPad came with iOS 5 and all I can use is WiFi how do I correct it? The phone worked fine until the upgrade to iOS 5.

I have done the following:
Rebooted iPad
Deleted yahoo account and added it back
Turned off mail in Yahoo settings, then stopped the mail app (double tapped home button, held mail icon and then clicked minus symbol when it started wobbling), the restarted mail, closed it again, enabled mail in settings, t
Then restarted mail again.
The only thing I haven't tried is resetting the iPad. I don't want to have to setup everything else again just to make yahoo work.

The pane will not acknowledge a finger touch. I try to open new mail, however the screen keeps the old message. I tried closing the email account and reopening, however the problem continues.
View 3 RepliesI have set up the email client on my Ipad 3 to gather my email from yahoo. It is the same account that I use on my desktop. I have set it up on my desk top so that if I get a mail from 'Joe Bloggs' it goes straight to my 'Joe Bloggs folder. This is reflected in the IPads email account and it duly shows all the different folders that I have set up....all good, until I collect my email.The result of clicking on the mail icon on the Ipad is that it will collect all the inbox mail but does not show any mail in the other folders. To see if I have mail in the other folders I have to click on each folder individually and then that individual folder will fetch it's mail....a right royal pain in the proverbial.
