IPad 3 :: Colors In Lines Going Across Screen Display?
May 8, 2012
So today when I turned on my iPad 3 there were all these weird colors that were in lines going across my screen for about a couple of seconds, then they went away so I could slide to unlock so I was quiet puzzled by this so I locked my iPad and sure enough it brings all these colors up all over my screen.
The screen in my IPAD 2 started to display weird colors suddenly. I bought the IPAD 2 in US but i live in Israel. I went into the local Apple distributor which is listed in Apple service list but he told me that because the IPAD 2 has a hit in one of the sides, it is not covered by warranty. In a month im visiting in Las Vegas and i thought i might try my luck with one of the Apple stores there.
What is the procedure for doing that? i just arrive to one of the stores and tell my story? What do i need to present in order to receive service, receipt? i have it in PDF scanned, but the purchased was not done with my credit card.
I recently plugged my iPad in to charge. About an hour later, I unplugged the iPad and went to use it. When I turn the screen on there are small vertical lines dancing all over the screen. I can barely make out my background behind these lines. It looks like the touch screen is fine, however I cant see my desktop because of the lines.
I have recently reactivated my iPad 1, but after booting it I saw that it's screen only shows about one third from the right, the rest shows the content in horizontal distorted lines.
Do I need a new LCD or is it the main board driving it?
I already restored it with the latest iOS and charged it fully. The touch still works, even on the distorted part. When I turn off the screen and turn it on again, the distorted part is black at first (see first attachment) and then slowly shows the horizontal lines getting brighter (see second attachment).
I have some problems with my 1 month old iPad Mini Retina Screen. Was using the iPad Mini normally and suddenly there is this black lines that appear below the screen. I have attached a photo of the iPad booting up.
My son decided to stop reading his book on the iPad 2 when the screen started flashing solid colors of red, green, blue, white and black. I had to force shut down and turned it on again and the same thing happened. What is the problem and how do I fix it?
I am having a problem my ipad just bought it. the screen tends to fade out with lines covering it until it becomes unusable after 1 min of constant use. the problem fixes itself after i lock the screen and unlock it. is the apple store my only option.
I am a recent iPad user and bought mine a few weeks ago. About two weeks ago the screen on my iPad started going wild with coloured and black lined jumping and popping all over the place like some kind of weird noise you sometimes got on the telly back in the day. I waited for a few seconds and it stopped. Now today it started doing the same only the lines were black and white and thin. Again I waited and it ceased. I only dropped it once and it was in my handbag which cushioned the fall and it has been behaving perfectly normally since.Could it be the leather cover I got? It has this magnetic clasp which locks the screen when I shut it. Could that interfere with the screen's work or something?
On the edges of my screen there seems to be a blue hue. It's very faint but noticeable when in dark rooms or reading text that is around the area. I don't think this is normal but I have thought that it may be just the backlight from the LED. I bought my iPad yesterday, so I can exchange it if this is a defect.
I have bought the apple iPad Air for my son recently. There is dark black lines on bottom and now in middle appearing. It is slowly slowly increasing rest all functions are working properly. Along with dark black lines there are few coloured lines appeared on bottom as well
Don't know if it's even a issue, as this is my first iPad, but when browsing the net etc and the colour is a light color in particular white, light blue etc like this forum, hard to explain what I meen, but the screen seems to have a certain 'fuzzy' look to it. Really nothing major, but Just something I've noticed that I don't notice on my iPhone 4
I have a ipad yesterday morning it was working and then yesterday afternoon it wasn't working and then by pressing the off and on button and the start button it came on but now the screen is fuzzy and discolored with lines running through it.
Pressing and holding the sleep/wake button does not cure it. Doing a reset turns off the ipad. When I turn the ipad on the lines usually, but not always return. I cannot see any cracks or physical defects with the ipad. It has only just started but appears ot have been a problem in the past with ipads?
I tried slapping it on it's back harder and harder, but it only made it worse! The top half is black and green with lines. Slapping it spread it and now whenever I close an app or do something, it stays with the green lines and I have to slap it for it to catch up to the screen I'm at.
Having issues with screen flickering and black lines? Today when I put the iPad down flat with the keyboard onscreen and it flickered rapidly until I touched the screen to make the keyboard disappear. This happened in the Ebay app. Last night when I was in Safari scrolling there were horizontal and vertical black lines that created a box area that would move with my scrolling down the page.
This started happening 3 weeks after purchasing this expensive device. Did a restore today. Will see what happens. Is this a software or hardware issue?
I've been noticing that when ever I wake up my ipad mini lines appear at the bottom of the screen for a a few seconds and then they vanish. This also happens when I wake it from sleep mode while it's charging. Is this something to be concerned about? I haven't noticed any problems while actually using the device.
I replaced my digitizer screen, my Ipad 3 powers up and I have access to applications. Now the Video LCD screen has a one inch white block with a black strip in the middle. The white and black block out is in the middle of screen and is displayed landscape and in vertical position. Is there any software or settings fix for this problem other than replacing the LCD video screen?
My 2 year old daughter got a hold of my ipad and dropped it on the ground... it was dropped on carpet and only about 1 1/2 feet from the ground. the ipad was in a case so I dont understand how that impact could have caused my ipad to freak out like it is.
I tried turning it on, and the lcd screen showed thick black and grey bars vertically, and horizontally colored fuzzy lines. I tried restarting, i tried rebooting, i tried restoring and nothing worked.
I saw a similar thread and have read about people just hitting it on the back, and it would restore to its normality. I even tried this but I didnt have the same luck.. Usually theres videos on how to fix problems like these that involve opening up the device and fixing a loose wire or something but I am having no luck finding an actual solution, and since its not under warranty, at this point opening it up and trying to fix it is something worth trying.
This happened this morning but I have noticed that in the last couple of hours or so, i can turn my ipad on and it will look just fine as if nothing had ever happened and i can use it with no problem, but then i press the sleep/wake button, and then if i turn it on again immediately, the bars and lines will show again.
