I have about a year and half old ipad 4 32g that was working fine the other day but when I picked it up today it will not turn on or respond to the 10sec home button and on/off trial. What can I do.
View 1 RepliesMy iPad is frozen. The unlock bar does not respond. I can't turn it off.

I have been having problems when trying to charge my iPad.
I started charging it yesterday morning after it fell to 20%, and it seemed to charge fine. As I had to go to work, I stopped charging it when it was about 80%, and thought I would resume charging as soon as I would arrive back from work.
However, when I attempted to do this, the iPad failed to respond and the Apple logo was not appearing (as you would normally expect).
On both occasions I am charging my iPad from the mains.
Is the issue that I should have charged it all the way to 100% when I first charged it yesterday morning?
If anyone could shed any light on this issue, I would be most grateful.

My Ipad 2 does not turn on when not plugged to electricity. Even when plugged to electricity, it constantly restarts/switches itself off.

My iPad Air won't turn on even when plugged into charger. Was working fine the last time I used it (and battery level was about 50% at that time). 24 hours later it's a black screen and does not respond to any attempts to turn it on.

Until now, my iPad has functioned flawlessly, but now when I plug it in, it will not charge. It has never charged when plugged into my laptop, but has always done so when plugged into the car or at home.

As described in the title, The iPad 2 won't turn on.A restart doesn't work, the screen displays the Charging Logo for a few seconds. (Even when not plugged in!!)I have tried charging for a few hours and the charging logo is still on a very low red.

View 2 RepliesI'm thinking of getting the iPad Air. I currently have a Mini and I love it but I am looking for a change. My plan is to take my iPhone and my daughter's older, hand me down, doesn't charge unless plugged into the Mac iPad 2 and get Apple GCs for them. If I am right, it'll be about $225 towards. She will get the Mini.
Do you think the Air will drop in price with the new one coming out? I can't remember if the others have when newer came out. I probably have a better chance of it happening at stores besides Apple.
The iPad was normal until today. When plugged to the wall, the Ipad was charging correctly and it was showing "charging". When I came back today to charge it, the iPad wasnt charging and showed "not charging" even if it was plugged to the wall. This usually happens with a computer but now it happened using the wall. Sometimes it did not even showed "not charging" like the iPad was not charging AT ALL even if it was plugged in. The computer does not recognize the iPad anymore.
I tried everything, from checking all my settings and switching options to make the battery better to power off and power on. I did some research on the Internet and I found nothing to solve my problem ...However, this post explains well my situation: [URL] ....
Please note that the cable and the adapter are working fine because I tested them with other Apple devices.
I finally got around to updating the iPad to iOS 5 and when I go to plug in the iPad via the cable to my laptop (MBP) it will not charge or sync, and I dont hear the little "beep" when I used to plug it in. iTunes does not even register that a device is connected. At first I thought it might be my laptop so I plugged my iPhone in and voila, works every time (in all 3 ports as well) take the iPhone off, nothing. So I thought, I am going to use the cube charger that comes with the iPhone to see, sure enough, nothing, the ONLY thing that will charge it is the iPad charger itself.

View 5 RepliesI had just tried to wake my iPad up from sleep, but the screen stayed blank and nothing happened. Same when I held the power button, and same when I held the power and home buttons together.Panicking, I plugged it in to the charger and it luckily booted up fine, with 90% battery!

View 2 RepliesI just purchased a 32GB iPad 3G/Wifi model. Overall I am very happy with the product however, to things baffle me about Apple decisions. Number one why is a product that by itself with tax is around $800 dollars have such a short charging cord? This is just a ridiculous choice on Apples part....I am extremely disappointed with that aspect.
Next I plug my iPad into my desktop PC (non-Mac) to sync it to my master iTunes library and I notice while it is plugged into the PC it does not charge the battery??? Seriously......I go to the Apple store in Waikiki today and plug my iPad into a brand new MacBook Pro and have the same problem. On site tech's state that there currently are many computers not powerful enough to charger the iPad via USB.....Seriously Apple??????
Last but certainly not least, the iPad is essentially a giant iPhone with an awesome screen and features however, why does Apple not provide an Apple logo lint free cloth like they do with every iPhone on the planet???? I know Apple are marketing genius's and all but come on now another way Apple has seriously disappointed me. I hope Steve himself gets wind of a post like this and they fix these issues ASAP!!!
