IPad 2 :: Says Cannot Connect To Server Although In Settings It Is Connected
Sep 9, 2014
My ipad 2 suddenly started saying 'cannot connect to server' after not being used for a few hours, although in settings it is connected. iPad works fine other than wi fi. My iphone and laptop can both get internet.
I have tried
-turning ipad off and on again
-unplugging wi fi and re starting
-using 'forget this network' and rejoining
Won't Connect To Wifi / Settings Sayings Connected But No Antenna
Nov 10, 2010
This happened on the first day I had my IPad and I was able to find something online to fix the problem. Well, it's happened again and what ever I googled before I can't seem to find the solution now. Basically, my ipad won't connect to my wifi. In the settings, it says that it's connected but in the upper bar where the wifi antenna should be, it's not. No antenna. I've tried rebooting, I've tried disconnecting from the wifi and reconnecting. Nothing working. I remember the solution wasn't too hard.
I tried to update my iPad to iOS 4.2.1, but after I downloaded the update, it said it was verifying the update with Apple, and continued to do this for several minutes, then it said Apple's servers could not be reached. It then put my iPad into recovery mode, and told me I had to restore it, which I've tried to do multiple times, but all with the same result. Is there anything I can do?
General :: IPad Air - Facebook Password In Settings / Couldn't Communicate With Server
Mar 27, 2014
I'm having an issue with Facebook on my iPad Air. The app itself works fine but when I go to Facebook in the ipad settings to put in my password ( to sync it with the ipad and allow access) I get an error message. It says Error: Couldn't communicate with server. I know the password is right. I have deleted and redownloaded the app. I've done a reset on my ipad , restarted it. Everything I can think of and the same problem exists. Even more annoying is the fact that when an app wants access to Facebook I will get a prompt to put in my fb password in my settings , and of course if I do I get the same error message. I've had this issue about two weeks now .
I guess this is a new feature request, but it would be great to have the WI-FI SID displayed in the top left next to the WI-FI symbol so that you know the network you're connected to without having to go into settings all the time.
I am connected to a network. Do I need to change IP address from DHCP to BootP or Static and also HTTP Proxy from off to manual or auto? Safari says I'm not connected to internet but Wi-Fi says yes.
We outsourced our ms/exchange server. So to setup my exchange account a have to enter server info for a proxy. However I don't see how to do this on the ipad!
3G Plan Settings Will Be Enabled Even If The SIM Card Isn't Connected On The Device
Apr 2, 2010
I just want to know if the 3G plan settings will be enabled on the iPad even if the SIM card isn't connected on the device. I mean, if it's unlocked, the options for buying a plan should only be available with the AT&T SIM card.
Let's say this setting will always appear even without the AT&T SIM, but I would want to use the iPad with another carrier. then I'll have to negociate the plan with the carrier but I won't be able to cancel it from the iPad, right? the settings for AT&T will always appear even with another SIM card or without a SIM card? can I still use another carrier even with these settings appearing?
I've been using the Ipad2 and everything was working fine until today. I tried reseting etc....
When I check my email I get "Cannot get mail the mail server "mail.bigpond.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings" In the safari I get: Cannot open page Safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server.
My Ipad is fairly new and everything is working perfectly only today I get this problem, my wifi is connected and I get a strong signal strenght.
All of a sudden after three months my yahoo mail can't be accessed. I noticed that I can still receive email from my gmail account. I tried rebooting but it's still happening. I also tried opening safari and going into yahoo there, but I couldn't. The weird thing is I can get yahoo email fine on my MacBook.
I'm trying to set up my work MS Outlook account on my iPad 2 and I get error messages that say can't connect to server. My systems admin guys have tried over and over but without success.
IPad 1 Can't Connect To Server For Update Or Restore?

Just updated my ipad 2 to an ipad air. I'm extremely happy with it except I can't connect it to my gmail through exchange. All the information and settings are exactly the same as my ipad 2, but it still is not working. I still have my ipad 2 also and it's working fine connecting to exchange.
