I do time lapse photography which means plugging my DSLR memory card into my ipad to import 1000-2000 photos at a time to create a timelapse,,once I have my timelapse video I need to delete all the imported photos to create room for new ones,
As there's no select all function (holding down 2 fingers and dragging won't work either) it's not really practical to select every photo every time,
When I'm at home I can plug it into a laptop and delete them from 'my computer' but I'm travelling to India soon and won't be able to do this,
Is there anything I can do (other than erase all content and settings ) to mass delete all camera roll photos (settings - using - swipe - delete doesn't work nor does edit and delete whole albums)
I recently downloaded about 50GB of photos to my iPad. They are RAW+JPG. Some of the RAWs are from a new camera that does not have RAW support on the Mac yet. Using Image Capture I downloaded all the photos to my Mac. They all have the green check-mark next to them indicating they have been downloaded.
After confirming that the images transferred without becoming corrupted, I went back to Image Capture and selected all, then hit the Delete button. I confirmed that I really want to delete them all permanently. Then a little floating window appears that says "Deleting..." and it stays like that for a long time.
Eventually Image Capture simply loses its connection with the Mac and simply leaves this console message:
5/22/12 10:58:38.494 AM com.apple.launchd.peruser.503: ([0x0-0x91091].com.apple.PTPCamera[9744]) Exited with code: 255
Back on the iPad, I see that some of the JPEG-format photos have been deleted while the RAWs that went with them are still there. Meanwhile for many others, both the RAW & JPEG both still remain. Is it because the Mac doesn't yet have support for the RAW file and therefore doesn't recognize it as an "image" file?

I have just set up my new ipad and cannot delete the photos that have transferred onto it from my computer - I don't want them all on it as they take up too much space. The trash can does not seem to appear anywhere like it does on my iphone.

I downloaded an app called Flight Intl. Allows one to download and view their monthly magazines. Apparently a true download,to,the,iPad, and,it,does show up nicely. But, there is no button on the downloaded mag. to delete Ete it after viewing. Would like to as concerned about iPad memory. So, where,is it stored on the iPad, and how can I delete it ? It is not in Newstand or the Book library.

There are supposed to be two ways to delete photos on the iPad, that is, not using iTunes sync. Tap a photo then tap the trash can in the upper right corner and then confirm the deletion. Or, tap the rectangle with the arrow in the upper right corner, tap each photo and then tap the red Delete button in the upper left side.
That works easily if photos are not duplicated in the saved photos album. If there are two or more copies of the same photo, I can only delete the first occurrence of the photo. If I tap the second copy the trash can does not appear, nor will the red Delete button work.
Has anyone else had this experience? Is there a reason why one must delete the first copy and not the second? Or is this just the way it is designed?
Curious about why deletion of multiple copies works this way.

I've downloaded songs from iTunes in iPad 2. I want to delete them but I can't to delete them like others songs that I have sync from the computer. So how can I delete them?
P.S I tried swiping across the songs in list view and see if a red delete button pops up named "delete" and click, but in those songs the button doesn't show up.
