IPad 2 :: Screen Rotation Lock Disappears From Setting It
Jan 14, 2012
Always had my IPad 2 locked on landscape. Weirdly and suddenly today I notice the screen flipping around and when I went to reset it found the icon gone, and in it's place a "lightness" control. How did this happen ? Where is the rotation icon gone? Can I rectify this myself (no boffin)
Screen Rotation Lock Now Does Not Work After 4.2.1
Dec 8, 2010
After loading the new up dated software 4.2.1 the screen rotation lock now does not work and displays sound off. The button below still works (sound) function. Does any one have a fix or is this a new bug that 4.2.1 has introduced...
I dropped my iPad yesterday (with it in the Apple Case) and it hit right on the screen rotation lock switch. There is a tiny little dent that doesn't look too bad, but it bad enough that the screen rotation lock switch no longer slides (I suppose it is wedged). Will Apple do anything for me? I imagine I'll have to pay to get it fixed but I am not sure.
When I slide it downward, the Ipad mutes... I don't think it's supposed to do that is it? Is this a configurable option? Or did Apple miss the Rotation Lock 'rework' in mfg??
Setting Other Lock Screen Photo (Album Cover) On IPad 2
Dec 28, 2011
Just put together a slideshow, music included. Now, the album cover for the song I selected (Bob Marley - No Woman No Cry - for those curious) has become my lock screen photo. I went to Settings and set another photo as the lock screen but, to no avail. When I turn my iPad 2 off and back on, there is Bob looking at me. How I get rid of the album cover as the lock screen?
I have accidentally enabled Rotation lock while playing with settings on my iPad 2. I tried to disable it by clicking on the ‘mute option. The icon still remains on the top corner even though it does not rotate. Can I remove that icon?
how to write an application which prevents UIView changes when iPad rotates ? What I mean is: suppose your iPad is configured to allow views to be adapted to iPad orientation. Well, my application should ignore this setting, and should force orientation locking.
If only the Mute button would mute the whole device, it would be somewhat usefull. But, as it is, it is just a stupid button.make it at least an option. hardware Rotation Lock was awesome and trully usefull.
