Safari say it cannot connect to server. desk top computer is working fine.
When I attempt to open a site Safari says it is unable to connect to server. The iPad says it is connected to the network and the network is functioning but neither Safari nor email can connect with the server. I have reset the modem and the router, forgotten the network on the iPad and then reentered, and turned the iPad off and on.

We have a business requirement for some content (a user manual) to be viewed on an iPad. The content is private and should only be accessible to certain users.
As far as we can see, there are three ways that this can be done. However, each way has issues that might be show-stoppers. Have we missed a solution anywhere?
1. Place the content on a website that is protected by a login. Obviously this would be accessible through Safari - however, the location of the user requiring the manual will mean that WiFi/3G connections are potentially not available. Is there any way to store a website locally on the device (e.g. running a local web server, spidering and downloading a live site onto the local disk to browse offline)?
2. Place an app on the device that contains the user manual. However, this would have to be placed with the iTunes store (and moderated before publishing which I understand takes some time). This would mean the app was publicly accesible, which we don't want. Is there a way we can decide who can download apps or protect them from public consumption somehow?
3. Place a PDF of the manual onto the device and view it through the iBook app. This solution at first glance seems the simplest and best - however, PDFs are limited in their interactivity (we were hoping to embed videos, clickable image maps etc into the manual).
Whether I go to Google Docs, or Editgrid, I can't seem to get it to enter the password securely. Instead of the bullets in the password field, I get the actual password showing up. Is there a setting somewhere to force secure password entry in secure fields?
View 10 RepliesI don't know the proper lingo, being network illiterate, but I'm at at retreat where there is an ultra secure wireless signal set up where you can't just get the signal and enter the password, the host has to actually go in and manually add individual computer ID info in order to allow access --
for my macBook it was a number we got in the Network panel, under Ethernet # or something like that?THere doesn't seem to be an equivalent for the iPad that I can find. Sorry for the vagueness, but can anyone point me in a likely direction?

iPad 64 3G/Wifi Looses secure wifi network credentials periodically. I retype in the 26 character key and I get back on. This is very unnerving and sometimes leaves my family stranded without a connection. Is this going to be a permanent flaw of the iPad?

All of a sudden after three months my yahoo mail can't be accessed. I noticed that I can still receive email from my gmail account. I tried rebooting but it's still happening. I also tried opening safari and going into yahoo there, but I couldn't. The weird thing is I can get yahoo email fine on my MacBook.
