Hacking :: IPad 4 - Some Cookies Not Saving On Any Browser

Apr 22, 2013

I've got a problem with my iPad 4. Certain sites that require a login aren't working properly. I'll put the right username and password in, click login and it'll just refresh the login screen. It doesn't do this for every site, forums work fine, but it just seems to be some standard sites. I've tried Safari, Photon and Mercury browsers with the same result for each. My iPad is jailbroken, 6.0.1. The sites that don't work on my iPad do work on my jailbroken iPhone however. I've tried the usual clear cache, cookies, history, alter cookie settings, and had no luck so far. Can't find any solution through google either.

Browser Redirect - Cleared The - Cookies And Cache

Aug 28, 2010

I've had my new iPad for a couple of weeks now and I am addicted and have it in my lap at bedtime every night. For the last few days when I do a search on my Safari browser, I get alot of browser redirects. I think I'm going to a certain site and then something else comes up... like VideoCop, etc.I've cleared the cookies and cache, etc and even tried a different search engine, Yahoo, and Bing and I'm still getting problems. How do I make it stop?

IPad 3 :: Safari Blue Bar Of Wait And Cookies Settings

Nov 4, 2014

I recently traded in my aging iPad 3 and bought an all new iPad Air 2.I was expecting iPad Air 2 to load web sites dramatically faster than my iPad 3. However, on some web sites Safari would stuck for a few minutes before completely loading web pages.

For example, when I originally tried to load some sites such as TechCrunch and TheVerge, Safari would display the expanding blue bar on the address bar but it would stop after it fill about 1/4 the length of the address bar. Then I would have to wait a few minutes before Safari would complete loading the web page.

At first I thought I have the same WiFi issue the some users have complained about. But after some tweaking, I noticed that if I set Safari to accept cookies from current site, or even accept all cookies, web pages on TechCrunch and TheVerge would load much faster: like within 5 seconds. And if I change cookies setting to be more restrictive, those web sites would again take a long time to load.

Can Safari Automatically Forget Cookies On Shutdown?

May 3, 2010

In the iPad version of Safari, is it possible to have the browser automatically forget all cookies at the end of the session? I'd prefer not to have to remember to go into Settings every time I use Safari to tell it to forget cookies.(I'm willing to use cookies during the session because the internet pretty much won't work without them, but I prefer not to have them sticking around forever.)On the plus side, using the iPad means never having to worry about Flash cookies!

Manage Passwords And Identity On Safari?

Jun 17, 2010

I use a product called "Roboform" on my PC. It's an "add-on" that stores and auto-fills all my usernames and passwords to websites that require a logon. Roboform also generates random passwords. It also stores my name, address, phone numbers, email address, credit and debit card information (identity) that allows me to instantly and completely fill out most internet order forms. I've used this product for years and I find the features are huge time savers. I have about 50 logons and my passwords are as complex as each site will allow. This is good and bad. It's bad if I need to logon to one of these sites when I'm on my iPad.

On my iPad, in Settings, Safari, I have AutoFill turned on, Use Contact Info and Names and Passwords turned on. The functionality on my iPad doesn't approach what I am used to on my PC. I'm hoping that someone has found a robust, elegant solution to managing logon information and the other functionality I've described.

PS - Roboform does have a free iPhone app, it's not bad but it won't open webpages in Safari (naturally, due to Apple's restriction) and it doesn't have the form-filling feature that is SO convenient when establishing an account and doing business on the web.

Content Of The IFrame Which Should Scroll Within A 400 X 310px Space Instead Expands To Fill Up The Entire Screen

Jul 1, 2012

I'm experiencing an odd iPad dsplay phenomenon with iFrames embedded in html pages in my website. They display fine in Desktop Safari IE and Firefox, but the content of the iFrame which should scroll within a 400 x 310px space instead expands to fill up the entire iPad screen. I used Dreamweaver CS5 to lay out the site, and took the iFrame code from an online code generator (which I suspect may have caused the problem, probably by missing out something important).

Here's a page that demonstrates the problem, and the learned among you can examine the html code: [url]

And here are two screen grabs - desktop Safari first, iPad second:

Speed From Ipad 2 Safari Browser?

Mar 5, 2011

Anyone know (have pre-release xp) of the speed from the Ipad 2 safari browser? If and only if I can get desktop browsing speed will I give up my iPad 1 for the iPad 2. If it's nearly the same as the iPad 1 (with iOS 4.3 installed)I can't believe no one bothered to do some speed tests when they had a chance to play with the iPad 2. Engadget was fascinated with facetime and the stupid photo booth.
