Since upgrading both our iPad 2's today to iOS 5, my Hub's keeps randomly popping up under Devices on iTunes as if it's plugged in. Even when I was plugging in our 4S's to activate and restore them, there his was listed beneath the iPhone. I click the eject button and it disappears, but it keeps coming back like a psycho stalker.
I quit iTunes, rebooted the iMac, but the iPad still pops itself up - uninvited - in iTunes. It's as if it's really hooked up via the USB - apps, serial number, music, etc., all sitting there with this message under Version: "Connect this iPad using a USB cable in order to update or restore its software."
I just plugged in my iPad to my pc last night and I noticed that it won't sync.It shows up in iTunes but I'm only able to "eject" it.It doesn't show the summary of the iPad or anything.

I recently purchased the iPad 3G model and note in the website listing of things in the box: simm eject tool. I did not find anything in the box which would be a simm eject tool. Is it missing,or not included in the box? What do I need it for?

I recently bought a second hand iPad 2. It's the 3G version, however the sim tray is well stuck in the iPad, the guy I bought it off said that there is a sim card jammed in it which is stopping the tray releasing. Is there a way to get this out? I read somewhere about drilling a small hole in the tray but couldn't find any more details about this. Is removing the screen an option?

View 3 RepliesMy tray thing at the bottom of my home screen has disappeared, I have no idea why, Ive not changed any settings at all. Ive done a hard reset and no change, I am unable to back up my iPad and connect as my laptop is battered. I downloaded Chrome app the other day cos Safari is in my tray and wouldn't have been able to get on here.
View 2 RepliesIs there any quick and easy way to disconnect your BT keyboard from your iPad short of turning BT off in services? I tried the eject button but that doesn't seem to revert you back to the onscreen keyboard if you are still in BT range. I also tried turning keyboard off and that didn't help, iPad still thinks it is connected and won't pull up onscreen. The only thing I've found that works is going to Settings and turning BT off.
View 2 RepliesWhen I print documents from my iPad 2 using HP c6280, I am not able to choose the ‘photo paper tray option. Due to this, documents are always printed out of 8.5 x 11 trays. Any method to solve this and opt for the printer tray.
View 4 RepliesI havent seen from the 3G pics a slot for the sim tray...does it have one or is the sim internal and non-user accessible?
View 10 RepliesCan anyone help me out, can you take your iPad, get it out of it's case, so you can hear it better, and lift it up, with the sim slot on the top and giggle the iPad to and from you, can you hear anything loose in the sim card tray because I can hear some sort of rattle from in there...
By the way this is a rattle sound with and without the sim card in, and with and without the sim holder

I got my iPad when it launched here in Mexico (on the 23 of july) but my sim tray was kind of defective because it was a little bit bent making it extremely hard to remove from the iPad. I thought it wasn't a problem until I asked how to configure my 3G on my iPad with my service provider, they told me and when I told them what my signal said they asked me to call Apple Care to resolve the issue. I did and they made me restore my iPad, I got a message saying "Waiting for Activation, This May Take Some Time", I never got the message saying it was activated so Apple Care asked me to go to an authorized service provider (no Apple Store here ), I did and they took my sim tray, they now tell me that it will take 8-10 business days to get the part and that they have to keep the sim tray so the process can start, I don't have that amount of time because I want to travel with my iPad and use 3G, my question is, would an apple store in the USA replace my sim tray for free?
View 2 RepliesIf I remember correctly, you could only have 4 with the iPhone unless you jailbreaked your phone.
You can have 6 on the iPad without jailbraking it.
Does anyone know how to use the tray to advantage? "Recent" seems to be EVERY app that I've ever opened. They never go away themselves. As of right now, EVERY app that I have on my iPad is in the "Recents" tray.
As near as I can determine, the only way to delete apps is to manually delete them one-by-one by first holding one until it wiggles and then tapping each "minus" sign.
I put the iPad to sleep and woke it up. Apps still in the tray.
I shut down the iPad and powered it up again. Apps still in the tray.
I reset the iPad and allowed it to power up again. Apps still in the tray.
My conclusion is that the best thing that I can do is to ignore the "Recents" tray but that just doesn't seem correct. There has got to be some advantage to using it.
Just wondering if anyone know what does the Sim Card Trey on the ipad is for and what good is it?
