View 2 RepliesI have a new iPad and want to set up my Verizon email account for access. My home unit is an iMac running Tiger, 10.4.11. I would like to keep the mail on the server until I download them on my home computer. I would like to be able to send mail also from my iPad.

Anyone else see this before - did a search through the forums and couldn't find anything on it.Basically here is the scenario 1. I have 3 bars2. Says Verizon and 3G in the top bar3.I click on View Account to setup a new account and it gives me the "Connection Failed"4. I have restarted, reset settings, reset network settings, turned on and off Cell and wireless.5. I guess I need to call Verizon, but wanted to see if anyone else had this.I'm still very happy I was able to find my iPad 64 GB Black Verizon yesterday at Best Buy in Chicagoland West Burbsjust got lucky and they had 1 available to sell, as others were for pre-orders.

Although I have seem to have been spared the worst of the WiFi problems, I have been very disappointed most of the places where I have tried to use the ATT cellular network. (Use that primarily when traveling and WiFi not available, and only have contract when needed.) Has anyone investigated the new offering from Verizon, or had enough experience using the MiFi setup to say whether the Verizon network is better in smaller towns, etc when using the Ipad? I might consider getting one of those connectors if I could get the same price as those who are buying their Ipads from Verizon and get an "off, then on again" contract like from ATT if the network coverage is really better for Ipads. My experience has been that of finding either no coverage or VERY slow coverage in the less populated areas with ATT.

View 1 RepliesI am trying to log on to my webmail account using my new ipad2 but although I get into the site ntoing happens beyond a welcome screen - e.g. I cannot see my e-mails. Is this something to with safari or my webmail account.
View 1 RepliesI cannot scroll down through my webmail messages on my iPad 2. The first 6 or 7 come up but no scroll bar to move down. Is there something I need to change to be able to view these?
View 1 RepliesWe own a iPad 3, iOS 5.1.1 (the iPad belongs to my wife) therefore she has her own account set up using the iPad's email program (I do not have my email account on this iPad as we want to keep our accounts separate). When I login to my email account using my webmail I can not open any attachment whether it be pdf.doc, txt ext etc? when I select the document (attachment) nothing happens - if my wife has any pdf's attached to her emails using the iPad's email program they open without any problems? We have 3rd party apps such as PDF Reader and also iBooks which can read ePub files - I am not talking about downloading files here, I am simply talking about the capacity to just open and read an attachment which I can not do with our iPad - we have plenty of memory and drive space, therefore I think it is a bug which might be due to a combination of the webmail program and the iPad not working with each other.

The gear started spinning, I believe, when I was sending a message out just as the servers might have blipped with a thunderstorm coming on. That's all I see in the outbox, the gear spinning.
I can still send messages, even with that gear spinning. To be clear, this isn't the Yahoo mobile mail app. I'm accessing the mobile version of Yahoo's webmail through 1Password. My email address is actually with att, which uses the yahoo servers.
I've signed in and out of my account. Put the iPad into and out of Airplane Mode. I've reset the iPad by pressing the Home and sleep/wake button at the same time; all with no luck. The spinning gear isn't there in any outbox when I access the webmail through my MacBook Pro.
I've written to Yahoo, no response. Don't see anything on the att email pages that's useful.

I can access my webmail account, but when using the webmail I am unable to get the cursor into the body of the message. this means I cannot type a message. I can access the to, cc, bcc and other fields, but not the body of anmy message. Is this a shortcoming of webmail on iPad, or a problem that can be resolved?

View 4 RepliesThe webmail for Bell Aliant (webmail.bellaliant.net) worked on the iPad however I've just noticed it is no longer working. A message comes up saying the service is unavailable. I've cleared the cache & cookies and even called Aliant. The have no idea why it no longer works on the iPad but still on the Mac Safari.

How do I get email to "pop up" full screen when I open it?

I bought an iPad as a shared family machine, but mainly for my better half to surf and use mail. But she doesn't want to use the mail app because anyone can get into it. But Safari doesn't allow MobileMe webmail use and other browsers just don't work effectively.I did a test and discovered that it's a user agent thing and Apple could allow us to have the choice of using the Mail app or Safari. My wife now thinks the iPad is all but useless to her as she can't keep her mail private, and is even considering a net book as a viable alternative.
View 6 RepliesHaving some troubles when trying to access Lotus Notes webmail via Safari. I can log in and see all the messages but when trying to open an email or even to create a new one nothing happens. There are no error messages, it just doesn't respond at all. Others within the company access it with their iPhones with no problems.

I have to get to the homepage again in order to get rid of it...but a few minutes later it happens again with another game app offer(cookie jam seems to be the most frequent game app apearing). I use safari and this doesnt happen with any other website i use on safari, just earthlink webmail.
