This question applies to my new 3G 64 ipad but I also have a 3GS phone. Sometimes I accidentally delete something or move it via the icons. How do I lock them from being moved or deleted after they are setup? The hold to wiggle then x to delete is dangerous I'm not changing things.
As Ive been playing around with my iPad for a little while now, I decided to re-arrange the dock and realized that 6 icons we are able to be moved onto it, whether in portrait or landscape mode. Was this posted anywhere else? Or am I the last to figure this out?
I'd really appreciate some help if possible. I upgraded my iPad to latest software version last week and since then when I try to lock my screen (so that it does not keep going around) I found that the lock button on the right hand side now sets the iPad to mute or not.
All 6 of the icons on my dock just disappeared. But none of them were deleted or uninstalled. They weren't moved somewhere else to a different screen. I can only launch them by searching for them. Also, this happened before upgrading the OS from 4.2.1, an Apple employee suggested that I upgrade to 4.3 and sync. After I completed that, I still didn't get the icons back on the dock.
After spending a considerable amount of time creating folders and moving icons into them, etc., (on the iPad) I synced (wi-fi) to my computer.† When finished, everything was back to its original place--no folders, original locations.† I've done this same thing on my iPod Touch† with no problem, so I'm baffled, although just getting used to my new iPad2.† What did I do wrong--and how do I avoid having this happen again?† (I know I can move and create through iTunes, too, but shouldn't I be able to do it on the iPad, too?)†
My seagate go flex wifi works great. However, when I delete movies from the drive, the logo, or icon still remains in my video folder under local content. I know it's not there because when I try and open then, the won't.
I thought it would be good to start a thread of Full-res Screenshots of the iPad Apps and UI, so that people from outside the US can enjoy a tiny bit of the iPad!PS: if this thread needs to be moved to the Picture Gallery Forum then go ahead. I wasn't sure where to post it.
When viewing an iPhone app--one that is not optimized for the iPad--it appears as a small rectangle in the center of the screen. Is there anyway to move it to a more convenient position on the screen? When playing a game, for example, it's hard to reach the buttons since the whole app is in the center. If the app could be dragged lower, it would be easier to reach the game controls.
My ipad 2 works fine - but I have found that after I use it for a long while, it is switching itself off whenever I physically move or tilt the ipad. A better description is - it switches off (screen goes blank) and then back on again - giving me the screen to put in my password? This only happens when I move the device. Is it caused by the gyro (so to speak), or the battery being low (and the gyro is trying to draw too much power - battery was at 37%), or just using the device for too long. Also, is this normal. Is this a common fault with the ipad 2?
In doing a restore of my ipad2 to my new gen iPad. None of my items in IBooks moved from the ipad 2 to the next gen iPad? I did the resore in iTunes. I have tried opening books on iTunes under the ipad2 device. Selecting the books and drag and dropping into the books on the next gen iPad without success. I have several PDFs on the old iBooks app I need to port over to the next gen pad. I hoped the would just move over with the restore, but that's not the case.
When my keyboard pops up it is covers the middle part of the screen instead of the bottom and when the page gets down to that part it doesn't scroll up, it just keeps going behind the keyboard.†My screen also recently stopped rotating as I moved the Ipad around.
My keyboard has moved (not sure how)to the middle of my screen. When I try and type a message, email etc I cannot see what I am typing. Could you tellme how to move this back to the bottom of my screen?
I've recently ditched my desktop, as it was old and clunky, in favour of a laptop + iPad only in the house. Now, I've read around and got my apps copied onto Laptop and added back into iTunes. I've also disabled the old PC iTunes authorization and authorized the laptop with my iTunes login. All should be good, right?
Yeah, well, it's not. Apps purchased on my laptop won't Sync to the iPad, and similarly, apps purchased directly on my iPad won't Sync back to the laptop...or do they never do this? I just assumed they would so long as iPad and laptop were on the same authorized iTunes account as a matter of back up.
How do I get my apps from my iPad to my laptop? And how do I get my apps from the laptop onto the iPad when Sync'ing does nothing? (It just goes 'Preparing to Sync', Step 1 of 1, complete...with no changes to what's on the iPad or the laptop Apps folder).
My apps have all moved on top of each other in the top left hand corner of the page.every time I drag them back to where they are ghosting on the page ,then change page and back again they r back in the corner again. What have I done.
I moved my post paid VZ Galaxy Tab 10.1 sim to my VZ iPad and all I get is 3G service, no LTE. I get LTE service just fine on the 10.1. swap the sim over back and forth, because it wouldn't make sense for me to pay for two services.
To reduce the internal memory usage on the iPad. What is the best way to move photos from the iPad photo roll to an external hard drive, if possible without the use of a computer and are you still able to view the moved photos on this external drive with the iPad.
