I setup my office imap account on my iPad's mail and have approximately 100 sub folders that I can expand or contract on my PC in my Outlook inbox that are now appearing on my iPad's screen. I cannot contract those sub folders on ther iPad and I only want to see what is in the main inbox. Is there a way to hide these sub folders? All I want to see on the screen of my iPad is the main inbox, sent items, outbox and deleted items.
My folders for my yahoo mail are not there when I hit the mail icon all I have is inbox, trash, and drafts but none of the others are there on my yahoo mail account I have them on my other mail account.
I have 3 email accounts on my iPad; 2 personal and 1 work. I don't want my work email included in the combined inbox. Is there a way to hide it from the combined inbox without deleting the email account?
Fairly new to my iPad 3, but a long-time iOS user with an iPhone 4S. I have an iCloud email account along with my work Exchange account. iClous is the defaul email account. For some reason, any time I restart the iPad, Mail opens only in my iCloud inbox, and not in my unified inbox. Can't find any setting relating to this action. My iPhone 4S consistently opens in the unified inbox, with the exact same email accounts running the same 5.1.1 system with the same settings. A small bug, but kind of driving me nuts anyway. Am I missing a setting somewhere to fix this issue?
I am currently using an iPad 3 which is filled with so many remarkable features. It has a large number of features and I don't know about some features. Here i want to ask you that -"Is it possible to Hide or Unhide any folder in iPad3" as sometimes it becomes necessary to hide some folders for the privacy purpose. so inform me about it.If any process or method is there, please provide the details?
I have my ipad set to PUSH emails from my exchange account at work. When I recieve an email into my inbox everything works fine I get the email notification sound and a number 1 appears next to the mail icon on the home screen. However in Outlook I have several folders set up which mail will go directly too instead of into my inbox to keep things nice and tidy. So say if I recieve an email from Fred Bloggs it goes directly into my Fred Bloggs folder instead of into the inbox. My Ipad recognises I have recieved a new email by making the notification sound HOWEVER a number does not appear next to the mail icon on the Home screen. Is there any way of making the mail icon on the home screen display the number of new emails in folders as well as the inbox or does it just monitor the inbox
When viewing iPad mail, on the 'From' line to the right in blue is the word 'hide'. I have noticed in pictures on Apple support pages that it says 'details', but on mine it says 'hide'. I accidentally touched 'hide' on an email, and, of course, it disappeared. Where did it go? And, more importantly, how do I get it back?
I am a new IPad user but the mail system has got me pulling my hair out. Why dose my mail vanish from the inbox before I have had the chance to read it? Where is it going? Also, how do I add new mail folders?
This has to be the stupidest question. But I can't find the answer. And, I can't believe Apple blew this, and didn't include it in the new iPad mail app.
As we all know, on the iPhone, for many (most, if the developers follow specs) apps, you hit the top of page (where the date is), and the form/list auto-scrolls back to the top. On the iPad, that works for the large email form (the email itself).
Well, how the heck do you scroll the floating (it works for the fixed landscape version!) inbox listing window back to the top (when in portrait mode)? I've pressed everywhere I can think of, and I can't find it. And I really can't believe Apple omitted this. Tell me I'm stupid, and Apple didn't blow this one. I'm really tired of scrolling through pages of emails to get back to the top of the inbox when I've been looking at old emails down below. (Yes, I know you can quit the account and re-enter, but, good grief...
I have a large number of emails in my inbox and there does not seem to be away to jump directly to the top of the inbox. Tapping at the top of the screen jumps to the top of a mail, or web page but does not work for the inbox.
I have a 3G 64gig iPad, with three Bellsouth.net (Yahoo! SMTP Server) email accounts on it.Almost every time I check for email, I see email in my In-Box, and then mysteriously, it disappears! I haven't even touched the iPad when it happens. I have no idea why this is happening.
After updating my ipad2 to iOS 5.1.1 I cannot view messages from the mail icon. It shows 25 new messages, so I know it's receiving the messages but when the app opens there are no new or old messages in the inbox, and the only enabled function is to compose new mail.
I have three email accounts on my ipad2.Yahoo, Gmail and a pop email.I use the yahoo for "registration crap" so it gets a lot of junk. My gmail is more filtered and finally my pop is my main email.I am recieving mail fine, but when I try to delete everything in my inbox it just comes up with 25 more ( older dated) emails to fill up my inbox. It keeps filling up with older emails from March now. I like to keep my inbox cleaned out on my mobile devices and this is causing me much grief!
using my ipad to recieve forwarded mails from out company website email to gmail. When I open gmail some of the mail is halfway, like i cant see the whole content unless I tick the check box, but there I read like the 1st sentence of the mail, the rest of it is not there? but when i go to the office and open outlook, there i see the whole email as it was sent to me.
Just in the last few weeks, some of my new IN box mail does not appear on my iPad. It is on my Mac, my husband's iPad and our iTouch. Just mine. Does not show up as junk, deleted, etc. These are emails from people I correspond with regularly. What is up and how do I fix it. This is Hotmail.
I saw complaints on the inbox on the left hand side and the email preview on the right and not being able to hide the inbox but if you swipe the bottom of the screen from left to right the inbox hides to get it back and tap the inbox button.
I have a POP e-mail account set up. Under the mail account advanced settings there is an option to delete mail from the server when I delete it from the iPad inbox. I assume this is a valid option for the account since it is shown, and it is what I would like to do. However it doesn't appear to be working. Is this truly an available option?
