Having Couple Of Questions

Everything worked fine yesterday. synced my music, pictures and some video clips, today I purchased a bunch of APPS but didn't sync them back to the mac yet. As I was getting ready to do so, this message from iTunes pop up: "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPad "iPad". Go to the Summary Tab in iPad preferences and click Restore to restore this iPad to factory settings." I switch and tried different 30 pin usb connectors from my iPhone.. same message. A couple question, since I have not synced these APPs and a couple books, will I have to re-buy these apps in the APP store? Or is the APP store smart enough to identify my previous purchases and let me re-download? Secondly. what would cause the iPad to be not recognized in this fashion. Just a disclaimer that, I did not attempt to hack it in any way. Overall, I'm impressed by the iPad, I'm just disappointed that this happened this soon.

Me and my mum are thinking of getting my dad an iPad after he saw mine he fell in love with it but he never treats himself. Just a couple of questions spring to mind: 1. I have read about people having problems syncing more than one iPad to a computer, have you had any problems like this? 2. If I register it to my iTunes can he copy my apps onto it as well as any he purchases in the future in his own account?

Can't Get Rid Of A Couple Of Mails

Received a couple of mails and they're stuck in Mail. Entered my account vía web mail AND eliminated them from the server. However, those two mails remain in my Mail inbox. I can't send any mail from the accounts I have configured with Mail.

Video - Gotten A Couple Of Movies

I just got my first iPad and have gotten a couple of movies on it which I ripped from my original DVDs.But when I try to write a description of the film I can only write 4 lines? I can't write artists, year, genre and so on ... I can write it in the file itself, but they do not arrive at my iPad?Is this only possible on movies bought through iTunes? If you look at Steve Jobs keynote with iPad you can see that he has a long description of the movie and much more when he shows the movie UP.

Couple Of Faint Scratches On The Screen

I'm currently loving my 64GB iPad (I'm writing from it right now). However, i've noticed a couple of faint scratches on the screen. Should I call apple about it? Would they replace the machine? It's nothing serious, but this was an $800+ investment.

Needs Rebooting Every Couple Of Weeks After Jailbroken

Perhaps it's because my iPhone is jailbroken, but I find myself rebooting every couple of weeks. My iPad on the other hand seems rock solid. I think I've rebooted once since buying it on launch day. I ran the iInfo app today and saw 38 days uptime. Pretty stable if you ask me - 38 days in and no performance flakiness whatsoever.

IPad 1 Freezes After Couple Of Min When Locked

When I lock my iPad 1it freezes after a couple of min (how long this takes changes from time to time). It just wont go on anymore untill I press home and power for 10 seconds. I've restored my iPad many, many times. And I've upgraded to 5.0.1, but nothing seems to fix this.

Videos Keep Stopping Every Couple Of Minutes?

when playing videos on Netflix or the Global Tv app, the videos keep stopping every couple of minutes. I have to move it back a few seconds and it will start to replay. It hasn't always done this but now does it all the time.

IPad 2 Screen Starting Flashing Every Couple Seconds

I was playing temple run when my I pad 2 screen starting flashing every couple seconds and then went completely black. The only thing that works is when I tap the top n bottom button for a screen shot. When I do this it flashes normal but the colors are not right n ten it gos back to black. I have tried plugging it in and restarting. Nothing works.

I have had my iPad 2 wifi 32GB since last August and it has always had a good battery life and I ran the full cycles of battery the first few times. (fully charge, fully deplete, repeat). I always manually close any unused apps, keep Bluetooth off and typically use my iPad for forum browsing and Internet browsing. In the past week or so my battery life has gone to crap. I am losing 1% of battery life every couple of minutes. I have auto lock set to two minutes and have only a few apps set for the notifications bar.

A Few Questions About It?

Since Google seems to be not much of a help, i figure i would post this here...

1) Is it legal to jailbreak my ipad?
2) Is there a way to watch flash videos without a paid app? (i would get the iswifter app if i had the money)
3) Can i download zip files (or other types of files that aren't pictures, pdfs, or mp3s to name a few) on my ipad in Safari (or Terra) and transfer them for use to my computer?
4) Is there a cheap waterproof case for the ipad (1st gen if it makes a difference)?

That's all i can actually think of for right now. Im sure there's going to eventually be more.

Steve spent all this time talking about how the iPad can use all the software that the iPhone uses, without really. differentiating it from the iPhone system, leaving things like iWork to Phils little bit at the end. In my humble oppinion, they should really be hitting home what unique native applications there are for the iPad. (and should have developed more?) It might seem boring, but really sell what iWork can do and how it can integrate with your Mac, and how you can/could/should be able to stream media and work files to and from your primary machine 'in your den' to your iPad on your sofa. It's the software that will set the iPad apart and "optimised" iPhone apps wont cut it.

Will 3G work after a Hurricane, Last time I lost my network connection for 3 days but I still had business to attend to.3G on the iPad would be a great to surf during the eye of the hurricane, watch a Movie or weather radar,etc.Is there a 12V auto adapter that will charge the ipad safely?
