Can anyone get any of the Google apps to work correctly? None of my subs in Reader display. iGoogle redirects to the mobile site. Google docs also redirects to the mobile display when you try to edit a document.

I was wondering what happens once iOS 4 is out next week for phones & touches with running iPhone apps on iPad. Seems they forgot to mention that we'd stop being able to run iPhone apps for a few months until 4 is out for iPad.Maybe i'm wrong, but does the SDK for iOS 4 allow you to target iPad or do you have to use 3.2 SDK for iPad?So once 4 is out can developers still target 3.1.3/3.2 as universal???Perhaps an update (maybe minor) is around the corner (OK probably not but might happen for the WIFI fix)
View 8 RepliesFor some reason I can't properly access my wordpress blog from the iPad. It is running under Apache on my Mac and should be accessible at 'localhost'. I do in fact access the front page but it is formatted as a plaintext document rather than a prper CSS formatted site. The same site, when uploaded to a commercial site (also apache/unix) does format correctly; on the Mac, both the local and remotevsites look identical.
Can anyone guess what's going on?

Got a couple of problems. I'm trying to get some mp4 movies onto the Videos App's library. There is a similar problem with synching the iTunes University content.
I added the mp4 movies to my iTunes library, synched them eith my iPad. They show up in the Films section of the iPad directories, but I can't get to them on the iPad itself.
iTunes also shows that 65 files have been copied to the iTunes University section on the iPad, but only 1 file is available on the iPad itself.
PLEASE has anyone got an idea what's going on, what I'm doing wrong?
Oh, btw, I can copy the mp4 files over by sharing with wth iFiles App and then watch them on there so I believe they must be compatible....

I've found that Wifi does not work properly on the iPad mini w/ Retina display.
Some background: I own three iPads (iPad mini with retina display, iPad mini, and iPad 3rd gen), an iPod touch 5th gen, and a Macbook Air, and use them all frequently with my portable Wifi router. None of them exhibit any Wifi problems whatsoever except for my iPad mini w/ Retina display.
Here are the details:
- In the middle of using Wifi with my portable Wifi router, the Wifi connection will abruptly drop, then reconnect. After the Wifi reconnects, it is no longer able to connect to the internet (even though Wifi itself is connected).
- Once the iPad mini w/ retina display's Wifi gets into this state, the following may or may not restore WiFi temporarily:
-- Restart the device
-- Reset network settings
-- ...yet, even if connectevitiy is restored, the problem will happen again within minutes.
- When the iPad mini w/ retina display gets into this state, the Wifi on my iPod touch, other iPads, and on my Macbook Air continue to work perfectly fine, so I know the problem is not with my Wifi device or it's connection, but specifically with the iPad mini w/ Retina display.
Note: The iPad mini w/ Retina display never has any issues with my home or work Wifi networks. The problem only happens when connected to my portable Wifi device. Yet, all of my other iOS devices and my MacBook Air work perfectly with my portable Wifi device, therefore I know the problem is not with the Wifi device, but with the iPad mini with Retina display.
Solutions:
- Resetting the iPad mini w/ retina display to factory settings does not solve the problem
- Resetting network settings on the iPad mini w/ retina display does not solve the problem
- I have even replaced my original iPad mini w/ Retina and got a new one. Yet, the new device exhibits the exact same behavior as the original device. So this was not simply a hardware problem with my original iPad mini w/ Retina display.
Conclusion:
- I know this is not a hardware problem (since it happened with both my original as well as replacement device).
- I know this is not a problem with my pocket WiFi router, since it works perfectly with all of my other iOS devices and MacBook Air.
- Therefore, this must be a software / firmware bug with the iPad mini w/ retina display. Apple will need to fix this in a future software update.
I just got my sons gen1 iPad mini screen replaced. Now the power button does not work correctly. A momentary press does nothing, does not turn it on or off. But holding it five seconds does bring up slide to power off. Does this sound like a hardware or software problem?

I did not drop it due to the change, but because I was not using it any longer for anything beyond email (it was coincidence that the service changed names). Since that change to mobile me, has there been any major changes that I would want to take advantage of? I have been using google for a few years now (free is nice too) but I like that find iPad/shut down feature if it is lost.

So I tried to download the newly released Google Voice app for iPhone on my iPad. I kept getting the error message "You request cannot be completed" in the App Store. I then searched for Ggogle Voice in the App Store; it didn't show up, either!
So Google Voice does NOT work on iPad, only on iPhone?
Even if it doesn't, it should still show up in the App store, though!?
That's the gist of it.When I click on a link in Google, it just returns me to the Google homepage. Anyone else having this happen? It's quite bizarre. Been happening for a week or so

I prefer using Gmail via the web over accessing it via IMAP plus I've been using Docs a lot lately. I don't see any reason they shouldn't work fine on the iPad, but wanted to see what you all think.

What I'd be using it for mostly is writing, though. I use Google Docs anyway, so I don't need a full-featured word processor, and of course I'd get a plug-in physical keyboard. So my question is, how well does Google Docs work on the iPad? Is it as quick and easy to use as on a PC?

Google Docs.
You can open a spreadsheet and do limited editing, but can't scroll around anywhere.
For documents, I can't seem to edit at all.
Drag & drop doesn't seem to work with Google in Calendar.
If the date is physically changed, it works; but drag & drop does not have the same effect. consider fixing drag & drop to result in changing the date so it works.
Aafter IOS 7 upgrade, screen rotation does not work on Google only.
