Can anyone confirm if the brightness is able to dim a lot lower?

I hate how bright the screen still is.

It's difficult to qualify this without juxtaposed screen caps, but to me it appears to dim a bit more at the bottom end. Could be in my head though (like many things ;)). Maybe someone who took before and after caps can post them.

I will point you towards the app store for a 'night browser' that apparently allows you to lower brightness significantly while using it. Haven't used it, so I can't say how it is though.

I haven't noticed a difference. This thing is still bright as ****!
I just wanna see it get as dim as it can in the iBooks app.

No love on brightness with this release. Still wonder why they chose such a limited range, and why auto-adjust doesn't really work... Didn't know the white-on-black accessibility option was there before though. That does make using in bed more practical... but far from perfect.

As soon as the install and re-boot finished I noticed quite a difference in the brightness as it was much lower on auto. To get it at the level I had it before I had to move the slider to 3/4.
