Is there a way to disable private browsing permanently on IOS7.1? Due to having younger kids and teenagers in the house, I need to figure out a way to disable it.

As far as I know, there's no way to permanently disable private browsing in iOS 7.1. iOS 7.1, in fact, made it even easier to switch between public and private browsing.

Go to Settings - General - Restrictions - Websites and select anything else than "All Websites". This will remove the "Private" button from Safari. You'll have to determine which websites are allowed. They can be added/edited in Restrictions.

That's a very good idea, Johanna. The only other thing to do is make sure the children do not know the restrictions password.

When you set the Restrictions code, make sure you aren't going to forget it. It's hard to recover from a forgotten passcode.
