I was visiting the YouTube website because the App only let's you post comments a couple of times before it says unavailable. On YouTube the capture kicks in to prevent spam but there you have the option to fill it in.

Anyway, I'm asked to log in on the main site and it triggers launching the App. Now every time I return to Safari it continues to immediately do it again. I don't have time to close the tab. I've tried wiping, history cookies and cache in the settings but that didn't work.

I've had to install the Atomic browser to come here. I don't want to do a full reset of everything just for this. I'm away from my desktop.

I had the same problem. It is apple's fault because the iphone youtube app. I went to youtube.com in Safari (The iphone youtube app is obsolete now since youtube's website works fine on the iphone now)
Then I did a search in google. When I hit the back button on Safari, instead of going back to youtube.com, the iphone launched the youtube app. It was driving me crazy!:eek:

I have multi touch gestures and I tried that to get out of this loop but that didn't help. Turning off WIFI didn't help.

Then I found a solution. I went in the settings and turned off the youtube app.
Settings ->General->Restrictions->Enable Restrictions->Youtube ON

That stopped the loop! :)
