My Google maps app works fine except when I search for a place name beginning with the letter 'c' - then the app closes! Upper or lower case just the same. However, if I place another letter before the 'c' and then type the place name and then delete the first letter, all works fine!
Anyone experienced this or have any suggestions. Normally I would delete and rinstall but this is not possible with apps supplied from new.
If you connect your iPad to iTunes and then click restore. This will reinstall the iPad software and you will have to resync your music and apps to it but it should fix the problem. if not then you should bring it to an apple store for some help.
Good day to you
Did you find a solution to your problem?
I seem to have a similar bug but, in my case, the "Maps" application closes down whenever I type "any" letter for a location search and just not the "c" as in your case.
Thks for your answer
Have the same problem. Basically, the MAPS app has corrupted data. The folks at the Genius bar told me to restore but, alas, while it solved the problem I lost all my data. Restoring data re-created the problem. I am not syncing my apps, books, etc and will have to manually reconfigure settings, email, etc. Painful. Problem solved but painful.
Hope someone from Apple software is reading this ... next patch will hopefully have a less buggy version of Maps.
I have two ipad 64G - one crashes when typing anything into the google maps search window (on google maps app) - the other is fine - both running 3.2.2 - I have tried doing a restore with no luck. Running google maps within Safari is ok.
