Safari - page auto reloading when switching panes

So far, I love the iPad. However, my first complaint is hen I switch between web page panes. For instance, I am trying to fill out a form on one, but need to grab some info off another page. When i switch back, Safari automatically, reloads the page and clears any information I might have had filled out. This is very counter productive, not to mention, very annoying. Especially, if the page has a lot of pictures, etc.... Anyone having the same problem?

This is a complaint in every iPad forum I've seen (like one at MacRumors). Seems it's due to the only 256mb of RAM in the iPad. Heavily graphic pages use up memory. Opening another heavy graphic page might require that the other one surrender its memory. Thus it needs to reload when it comes back. It's very annoying. I'm sure future iPad's will have more RAM memory, but I doubt there will be any easy way or even possible way to upgrade RAM on our debut models.

It may not be the fault of Safari, so much as it is the way the form is written. Though for secure forms, I can understand why they would do it that way. I've noticed some pages will force a re-load when switching back and forth and some do not. I don't think it has so much to do with memory as it does the page itself.

I'm hoping that the multi-threading in OS 4 will alleviate some of this.
