Does the wifi new ipad take 6+ hours to charge like the LTE one? Does it have quite as huge of a battery, given that there is no LTE?

Also, does it also have the weight gain like the LTE one?

If it does, I think that nails it. I'll just get a Verizon ipad 2. No 4g data hoggishness, no heat, no super long charge.

Weight is fractionally lighter and charge times will be the same because they have the same battery.

10 GRAMS lighter for the wi-fi. Barely perceptible.

Even using it several hours a day I've never run the charge below 65%. Charging seems rapid. Maybe an hour or so. Even plugged into my computer's USB port it will charge while I work. I think the charging issue, like the heat issue (5° C, playing games), is just click whoring.

If you use the 10W charger that comes with the iPad make sure you hear the charging "Plink". If the cable is not pushed all the way in it will not charge.
