Purchased magazines from within apps.

I was wondering if some one could help me with this question regarding purchased magazines from within applications. If I buy a magazine such as say "Time", where are the copies stored and backed up within iTunes and if some time in the future I want to say move them to a new iPad how would I do so?

HI,

After you have purchased an iPad app, just connect your iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes then select your iPad under Devices on the left side of that window.

Select the Apps tab. Select the *Sync Apps* button then click "Sync" bottom right corner of the iTunes window.

My guess is you'll be able to view the magazines in the app itself or possibly from the iBooks application.

As for storage, (example only),Zinio stores the files on the computer, read here http://ipadhelp.com/Apple/zinio/

No matter which app you purchase, check the developer site first for information. It also helps to read customer reviews before purchasing.

Carolyn,

Thanks for your reply, but I don't really feel that it answers my question. My question is this, I have an app on my iPad say "Time" or "Newsweek" and within it on the iPad I have purchased some magazines. Now when synced the app is on my Mac in iTunes and on the iPad, question is where are the magazines themselves? Reason for the question is, if I was to buy another iPad some years later, how I would I transfer them to the new one?

Thanks again, David.

As far as I'm aware they are stored within the app as part of the app and are not separately or individually accessible either on the iPad or on the computer. If you use the same iTunes account on a new iPad when you sync the app the issues of the magazines will also get synced as part of the app assuming you haven't previously deleted them from within the app.
