I have a 128GB MBA & 32GB iPad.

iTunes on my Mac absolutely INSISTS on downloading all the apps I have on my iPad.

I never sync with iTunes. I've been doing everything via the cloud. All I wanted to do is listen to some music I bought & iTunes wants to use up all my available disk space downloading the iPad apps.

Anyone have any idea how to stop it? I've even tried uninstalling iTunes and it won't let me (ML) saying its part of the system. I've tried deleting all preferences. As soon as I enter my Apple ID, it starts downloading.

Go here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4539

Click on "Enabling Automatic Downloads on your computer."

Start up iTunes and find the preferences panel described. I'm guessing automatic downloads is enabled. Disable it for apps, and it shouldn't download apps.
