IPad not connecting

My iPad is not connecting to my home wi-fi network. It was fine up until the latest update it seems. I have restarted everything (iPad and network) and nothing seems to work. My iPhone is connecting just fine to my home network. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be? Thanks!

Additional things to try.


Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.


On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

if your ipad doesn't see any networks, your device may have a defect. take it into an apple store and show them, and explain your situation - they'll swap yours out for one that works!

The device doesn't have a defect because it worked prior to the update. Try restoring the device and then setting it up as a new device and NOT from a backup.


Also, try connecting the ipad to another known wifi network. Because the moment you go to an apple retail store they will try to connect to their wifi network. And if they are able to do that, then it's clearly not a defect in your device.
