Please, can I crea a Microsoft office documents such as word, excel and PowerPoint using my ipad

Yes. Use Pages, Numbers and Keynote. They are file compatible with the MS programs.

iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) is the equivalent to MS Office.

iWork is the easiest way to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on iOS device. And it's compatible with Microsoft Office. You're able to create and edit documents with it.

Another possibility would be CloudOn.

Okay thanks for your prompt response. How do I get iWork on my iPad. I just got the iPad new and not hat familiar with it. Hen another thing is that how do I activate my instant e mail settings that will notify me immediately I have new messages as for Facebook and others

To manage notifications, go to Settings - Notifications, tap the app and choose what you prefer, like this:

Email setup is not terribly different from setup in Outlook or other Windows based email software. You'll have to manually enter your username, password, etc for any email accounts you wish to access via the iPad.

The apps (i-jargon for task specific software, or "applications" as referred to in Windows-speak) are available at the App Store.

So don't sweat it. After just a little while fiddling with the thing you'll be technologically bi-cultural...
