Last night I charged my battery to 100%, then took it off the cord and set it aside. 12 hours later, I unlocked the iPad to find the battery had drained to 85%. Push and Fetch have been turned off, so have location services and the iPad is not jail broken. I hope you all can tell if such a drop of charge is at all normal. And if not, can the Apple Store tell if my battery is defective? It's a wifi only model by the way.

P.S. The battery dropped 2% just while typing this out.

Have you tried a hard reboot?
Failing that, a restore is in order.

I would try to do a Restore. If that doesn't fix it, take it back to the Apple store.

I've already done a restore and calibrated the battery twice after I first got it. I think my battery is defective...

Do you have Bluetooth enabled? I've noticed my battery drains quicker when that is turned on. I only turn it on when I need it.

No, the Bluetooth is off, I think I've only turned it on once in the past two weeks. The Apple website says the iPad has 30 days of standby time. So if my iPad drains 15% every 12 hours...it will be dead in 3 days. Not good...

Its normal if you have wlan activated (i think the ipad hold the connection to the router during the standby mode).

Definitely take it back. It sounds like something in your iPad is faulty and better to get it resolved sooner than later. They are always more accommodating when you ask for help within a few weeks of a purchase, as opposed to a few months.
