There has been at least one previous post on same/similar problem. I do not remember the resolution. Why not make an appointment at your local Apple Genius Bar?
But first I would do a reset and if that did not fix it I would do restore from backup and last a total restore to new condition and add thinks back manually.
Hopefully you did not get any liquid on the screen or between screen and case.
It was like this straight from box, tried restore and total restore already. Seems like I have to replace it. Problem with that is I bought it Dubai (the store didn't accept to return it) and I live in Tanzania. If I bring it to Europe, will any apple store repair it for me?
Please at least arrange a phone call with Apple support. We need them to acknowledge this as a known issue so they will replace them under warranty. I have yet to get Apple to replace my iPad with this issue, because I can't replicate the issue at will.
