iPad does not like Cisco

I was one of the early adopters, I have an iPad. The wifi has no issues anywhere even connects to my N router at home with no problems and starbucks with no problem. I come to school and connect to the G Cisco network and the screen pops up to autheticate with the cisco network. If I type in the wrong info I get the cisco screen showing I entered the wrong login info, if I type in he correct info it will lock up and not log in. I have tried resetting the network settings or hard reset usig the home button and the top button and still the same issue where the login screen locks up. I click the submit button and nothing happens it locks up but if I tap the submi button again, it won't even flash showing that I tapped it. I don't know what else to say here so ask ur questions and I'll do my best to reply. I am also working with my school's IT guy and I am CCNA and even this baffles me but also I don't have access to the cisco network to see the settings and such.

Simply saying "do a search" doesn't help much if you already know where to find the info... especially since Apple's Discussion Forum search isn't terribly accurate.

At any rate, the "Cisco Access" topic already underway can be found here:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2389426&tstart=0

Main takeaway: the problem appears to be related to having AutoFill enabled in the settings for Mobile Safari. I followed the following sequence, which permitted my iPad to connect through the Cisco router at my university:

1. Turn off WiFi, if currently enabled
2. In the Settings app, go to General > Reset > Reset Network Settings (your iPad will reboot after this)
3. Go the the Settings app again > Safari Settings > Autofill > Switch both Autofill sliders to "OFF"
4. Tap the "Clear All" button to remove currently stored Autofill settings
5. Re-enable WiFi, and you should be able to connect through your University's authentication

Hopefully Apple will address this in a future OS update, since the problem doesn't impact devices running iPhone OS 3.1.3 (such as current iPhones and iPod touches).

Good luck!
