It still does this fine.. but if I open a new email on my mbp it still shows as a new email on my ipad until I open it a 2nd time on the ipad.

On my iPad 3 with iOS 5.1.1 the push notifications for gmail (exchange) take several minutes to arrive whereas on my iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1 the Push notifications are instantly. I have already tried deactivating my iCloud account and retting my network settings but it doesn't make any difference.
View 2 RepliesFor the better part of the last month I have noticed my email not showing up like it always had in the past. I use both gmail which I know doesn't work with Push and also use AOL which in the past never had any problems. I have gone into setting several times and changed them around as well as hold down both home and on off until logo comes up. last thing I did was delete each account and then entered both back still not working.

I am no longer able to send or receive email on my exchange account. I have deleted it and started again several times. I was told by our local IT department that it is a client issue, not a configuration issue. It's been working fine until 2 days ago. I found out I wasn't sending emails out, but it let me know there were any errors. I can now only see my inbox but nothing is in it, but I am SURE there is quite a lot there. My icon on the front screen shows 154 messages next to the main icon, but when I open it, there's nothing there.

I've been having an issue with my mail sitting in my outbox with an error message appearing (to be attached below) shortly thereafter. Originally, the mail would sit there for a while and then eventually go and a copy would appear in the sent box. The problem now is that the mail is no longer getting sent. It's sitting indefinitely now. I have double checked all the settings with Verizon and it all checks out. Before I wipe out my iPad and restore everything, I wanted to make there wasn't something in my settings that was over looking.
View 2 RepliesSomehow my iPad has stopped storing my sent emails in mid December.
View 5 RepliesThe last few apps (games) I have downloaded will not rotate, and to make matters worse they are upside down from the way I hold my iPad. Normal? Or should I delete these apps and download again?

Since updating to 5.1.1, my ipad 3 will no longer rotate.
Rotation is currently enabled, there is no lock showing. I have tired using the side switch for rotation, rebooting, and even done a complete restore.
The gyroscope seems to be working in apps that support it. I just cant get the screen to go horizontal in apps and on the home screen.

I must be really missing something here and am pulling my hair out, but I still can't rotate my photos on my iPad. I am aware that there are apps to do it, but is there still no way to do it in the photo app? I don't want to have to export into another app, rotate and then send them back to Photos!I see they added this to the iPhone software, but I already have a lot of photos on my iPad that are all over the place when I output them on my apple tv.And while I am moaning, anybody else bugged by the fact the photos are ordered with the oldest first? I would much prefer to see my latest photos at the top. Very annoying when trying to email screen shots just taken.
View 8 RepliesSo just recently my iPad2 stopped rotating when I am using it. If I open the smart cover while holding it in landscape it comes on in landscape. If I rotate it to portrait nothing happens. If I then close the smart cover and reopen it while holding it in portrait it will come on in portrait but will not rotate to landscape when twisted.
I've tried the obvious things:
1) Checked settings to see if lock button was set for rotate function and it was set for mute.
2) Double clicked the Home button and checked the multitasking menu to verify the lock rotate icon showed it was unlocked.
3) Activated the Lock Rotate button and graphic showed it was locked, activated again and it showed unlocked. Still won't rotate
4) Set physical switch on side to control screen rotation.
5) Activated the Lock Rotate switch and graphic showed it was locked, activated again and it showed unlocked. Still won't rotate
6) Put device to sleep in landscape. Rotated to portrait. Woke unit up, turned on in portrait. Would not rotate further when twisted.
