All of my Audible and Audio books are synced to my iPad, taking up 16gb of space, but I cannot get them off the device. At first, I did not have ANY music synced - that didn't work, then I tried checking only specific playlists, and that didn't work. I don't want all this space taken up by books I have read already!

I was told before I bought my iPad that I would be able to download free apps. that would download books from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. I don't see those apps on iTunes. Was the salesperson mistaken?

View 2 RepliesThe audiobooks don't seem to transfer to my iPad. I wonder if it's because it's already on my iPod, and it only allows it to be kept in 2 places (for me, its my desktop and my iPod).

View 7 Repliespast, I've dragged/dropped my Audible audio books (file extensions '.aa') into my Windows iTunes Library and then dragged them over to my iPod Classic for listening. Doing that and dropping the files onto my synched iPad does not work. The audio books seem to be listed on the iPad's ipod app under an 'Audiobooks' folder - they even say within the folder 'Audible (2 Books) but there is nothing for me to click on and play.

I'm trying to get the audiobook I purchased onto my iPod Touch. However, when I go into the "Books" tab in my iPod on iTunes, the audiobook doesn't show up. Dragging and dropping doesn't work, either.

It came preloaded with all of his books in audio format. But since I have no access to the computer that originally loaded these books, how can I back them up to my iTunes library so that I can upgrade to iOS 5? If I upgrade without the backup the instructions say all data will be lost. The books have a higher retail value than the ipad2,
When I do a sync in iTunes it doesn't capture the books from my iPad, but I could very well be doing something wrong.
Lost audio for games and books that read themselves.
