iPad 3rd gen.
It no longer says "Install" (or was it "Download"?) for the previously purchased iOS apps, both on my iTunes App Store and iPad App Store.
I can see the apps from Purchased tab, and visiting the app page from Purchased tab shows the Install/Download button, but when I view the app from Top Charts/search result, it shows the price (or Free App).
Why i cannot install after download IOS 5 ?

For those with an iPad 2, can you try to update or install apps at the same time?Does iOS install download and install apps one by one, or does it allow for two apps to be installed concurrently and simultaneously? The iPad has two cores, and should be able to handle application installs better whereby you try to do something whilst an app is being downloaded then install or two at the same time.

a newbie to both this forum, and to my iPad (had for about 5 weeks now, and love it!)With the impending release of iOS 4.2, I realized I have no idea how to upgrade the OS on my iPad. Does the update download to my iPad, or to iTunes on my PC (or do I go to Apple's site and download the new iOS), and then get synced across to the iPad? I downloaded and installed iTunes about 5 weeks back so I could setup my new iPad (had to spin up an XP box since there's no Linux version of iTunes, and I don't have a Mac (told you I was an Apple newbie!!) I have read here I need iTunes 10.1 to install iOS 4.2, I currently have iTunes v10.0.1.22, does iTunes auto-update it's version, or will I need to download and reinstall (fresh install) iTunes on XP??

View 6 RepliesI only got my 4s and iPad 2 yesterday and already experiencing problems downloading apps. I can download apps obviously under 50mb on 3G but can't download and install any using my home wi-fi. I have no problems downloading and installing on my 3GS and have tried many 'fixes' but nothing seems to work. A big problem I also have is I cannot connect any of the phones to iTunes as I'm currently having ongoing problems with it being dealt with by apple!

I have both an IPhone 3GS and an Original IPad. When I upgraded to IOS5 I found that all my applications had cloned themselves from one device to the other. This is a nuisance because some applications I didn't want on the IPhone - I'm 55, my eyes aren't that good, and I can't see a lot of stuff on the small screen.
But I am a Hockey fan, so I have NHL Gamecenter 2010 on both devices. The app manufacturers didn't update it, they issued a new app. So I downloaded and installed it on the phone. The problem is that I can't install and download it on the IPad because it thinks I've already done so.
Now possibly this will be fixed with a sync. I'm going to try that. But what happens when I delete the unwanted apps off the phone? Will they come back again?
How do I safely download/install movies on my ipad2?
View 4 RepliesI just got my brand new iPad from the US today...
But, impossible to install any application, as the apps tap in iTunes is totally greyed out...
All applications previously downloaded for my iPhone are ticked but I can't "untick" any box. The only thing I can do on the tap is ticking the global "Sync" little box : but when I do, iTunes just crashes...
Any idea why I can manually manage my applications, even those I bought specifically for the iPad?
Other important info : as I'm a French iPad user, I can't access the appstore, so I can't download and install applications directly from the device... I have to use iTunes and to sync from the computer.

My question is - if I do this, and download some apps over the 3G network before I get home, will there be any problems when syncing with my Mac? Will the apps that I've downloaded be in danger of being wiped out? Do I need to set up this freshly-installed copy of iTunes with my iTunes store name and password before activation?I imagine that there wouldn't be a problem but if anyone knows for sure
