eventually, the iPad will have system support for all the other languages like the iPhone does?I would like to buy one to offer to a family person but then I noticed that (contrary to the iPhone) the iPad doesn't support Portuguese, my native language.Since the iPhone translation to Portuguese is pretty good (as is the Snow Leopard one), I wonder why can't the iPad have them also.If anyone knows something more about this, I really appreciate some more info in order to decide what to do (waiting for the next version of the OS or buying a netbook to install Ubuntu Netbook Remix).
Multi-language Support - Stop Automatic Detection For Foreign Languages?
May 10, 2012
The Iphone is nice for reading mails but it is a pain to write more than a few lines. The Ipad is different, writing mail is pretty convenient except when you write in a foreign language as the spellchecker will always interfere with the typing and replace words that are correct with something that belongs to another language altogether. There is no way to tell that thing about the language I intend to write the mail in and there is no automatic detection like MS Word has (at least on Windows...). Of course I can turn off the spellchecker and that's probably what I'll do until Apple fixes this but I would consider that a rather pathetic option...
This device is a remarkable piece of gear. I'm sure everyone wanted more of something, but you cannot deny that the computer and capabilities are amazing and stunning.
For me the big disappointment was lack of MS Exchange support.
From http://www.apple.com/ipad/features
"And iPad will work with all the popular email providers, including MobileMe, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, and AOL."
Exchange for better or worse (mostly worse) is a corporate standard, and it's what I need to be able to lounge on the couch and catch-up on email during the off-hours. I do this with my iPhone today, but the bigger tablet touch screen would have made the task more natural and productive.
So while I had my credit card ready to buy almost anything Apple released today, this is the missing feature that stopped me in my tracks. Unexpected this is.
Short of that, I applaud Apple for this achievement. Nobody does it better. And I'm sure time will address my issue (just like it played-out on the iPhone), and I'll eventually be a proud iPad owner.
I have just received the PS Leather Folio case... and now I plan to return it http://www.powersupportusa.com/catal...o/category/37/I was after it since I really liked the blue color and wanted a real leather case. Well, it's leather and the blue color is gorgeous. I think the overall quality is very good, the suede-like inside surface looks a little cheap but is very nice to touch, the stitching is fine, the plastic corners seem to hold the iPad very well.
3G On T-Mobile - Adding Data To Support The System
May 15, 2010
I know the iPad comes in AT&T 3G form but as I'm an existing T-Mobile customer and don't really want to switch or manage two accounts I'd be interested in using the iPad 3G on my existing T-Mo account and just adding data to support it does the iPad support the required Band for T-Mo 3G, or just AT&T here in the US and drop back to GSM/Edge on T-Mo?Also... travelling to UK and Australia will I get 3G coverage or drop back to GSM/EDGE?
Does IOS4 Can Work With The System & Support Multitasking ?
Jun 22, 2010
I am going to buy Ipad and I wonder does iOS 4 works with iPad and is multitasking supported on it.I think it should work but I could not find it on web page.
Few days ago I created a thread on which Bluetooth headphones will i buy and use for the iPad. Either jaybird or backbeat. As I'm browsing at bb site and I saw this rocketfish RF-MAB2. The reviews are very overwhelming. So I decided to get one. Last minute shopping, since bb is just around my corner. Oh boy, first of all.. The sound is amazing! the connectivity is flawless! All controls are working except for the next track and previous track. Its not the rocketfish fault but the iPhone. We all know that iPhone doesn't support AVRCR.
I know Apple doesn't support Flash on the iPhone and iPad. My question is does that mean you can't watch any full episodes that are offered on say Fox NBC or ABC websites? I have to have an app? Can't watch off the web as if I was on my laptop?
Just a real shame Safari doesn't support Adobe Flash technology. Kind of makes Safari useless and the Ipad just an expensive toy. Tell me Apple will eventually come to their senses and correct this mistake.

Anyone else try to use blogger.com on their iPad? It doesn't work for me, as when you try to click on the text box when writing a new blog post, it wont let you. Therefore its impossible to actually write your new blog post.I also haven't found any ipad apps that will let you post to blogger either. This is very disappointing since I really wanted to blog using my iPad, and now I can't!
