I had to reset my wireless router and I know all the settings are correct including the password. My iPad recognizes this router but will not accept the password.
So I went to Settings>General>Network and touched the command to reset the network back to factory specs. I tried this twice but the network will not go away so that I can reenter the network

some "IT expert" did an update on my ipad and never completed the update properly. the ipad went into recovery mode then automatically restored to factory settings. lost all photos and clips on my camera roll. data was never backed up. Photos and Clips that I have lost are very important to me. I have some memory loss from this important time in my life and I have been hanging on to these photos. Reward offered for successful retrieval of ALL photos. Ipad has been to KROLL on TraCk Apple Inc Approved Data recovery specialists who said this cant be done.

Y hard drive failed, so I reinstalled the OS and iTunes.Connect my iPad to the pc fine, transfer purchases into iTunes, fine. When I click on the iPad in the left column, the tabs appear as normal.The problem starts now.... I click the apps tab and the screen displaying my iPad screen is faded and inaccessible. Nthere is no tick in the sync apps.When I put a tick in the sync apps box, iTunes gives me a warning saying. Are you sure you want to sync apps? All existing apps and their data on the iPad "kev's.ipad" will be replaced with apps from this iTunes library. It then gives me 2 options of sync apps or cancel.If I press the sync apps all apps except the standard apps are shown on the iTunes iPad screen and none of my currently installed apps have ticks against them in the left hand edge.Now, my question is, firstly, is this the way it should be? Secondly, if I place a tick on the apps that I already have installed, will this do a fresh install and replace all the data that is associated with these apps?I have made many in app purchases, got to certain levels in games and I am afraid that I will have to start from scratch again....
View 6 RepliesMy Ipad 2 4.3.3 jb could not be turned off so i reset all settings wit restrictions code. I finally ended up with a resetting status bar which could't complete(stops nearly at the beginning). the Ipad then resets and the very known pleasant loop has already begun.
i am on vacation and don't have my computer with me. The Ipad is really loaded. Do you please have a solution without restoring? Can i do something with ifunbox for example?

i am having the new iPad delivered tomorrow and would like some advice on restoring my iPad 2 to factory settings as im passing it on to a relative.
I will back up the ipad2 to my iTunes so I can sync my new one in iTunes but would it be best if I connected the iPad2 to a PC which has iTunes on it and do the factory restore on there.
I never use my iPad and have decided to sell it. I was wondering what is the best way to reset it to the factory settings? Thru iTunes or just straight from the iPad itself?

I updated to iOS 8 last week with no issues. On the day 8.01 came out, I was in the middle of the update process, when the iPad went black and then into the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
Plugged the iPad into my PC, iTunes opened and informed me I need to restore to factory settings. Fine. Clicked through that process, and after several hours the download completed and then nothing. Also, during the download the "restore" message keeps popping up like I haven't started the process yet, but I have.
I have since tried to download again (3+ hours), and also version 8.02, but still no luck with the iPad installing and rebooting, it just sits there.
I just restore my ipad air. I started the restore process and a few applications was synced (6 or so) after that no other application or music or whatever was synced. The status bar on Ipad show the syncing wheel turning and iTunes shows that the same application is syncing. I tried a reset all content and settings with no luck. I also did a restore to factory and no luck. The ipad was running the sync process for the whole night, so I'm assuming it is not a matter of time.

View 3 RepliesI bought Ipad 2 (16 GB), downloaded latest version of itunes and connected the ipad to my laptop a week ago. It worked fine, itunes detected it, I registered at app store (but didn't register the ipad yet). Today, I restored factory settings on Ipad 2 and tried to connect it to a different laptop (don't have access to the first laptop anymore). I again downloaded the new version of itunes and then connected it. Nothing is happening.
The ipad turns on for a second so I can see the image of white usb chord and itunes symbol. but itunes on my laptop doesn't read it. Since I restored factory settings, the Ipad now gives only that screen of white usb chord to be plugged in the itunes symbol whether it is connected to the laptop or not. I even gave the current laptop authorization from itunes ("authorize this computer"). I'm using Windows 7

I have an ipad2, which i bought 2 years ago. Due to problems with updates, Irestored it to factory settings. For activation it requires original password and first apple id used to start ipad2 for the first time and feature find my pad was on. And this is problem. I have original apple id and no password. So ipad2 is useless now. How can i change password. i do not remember icloud password. In itunes i have tried option forgot and then using via email confirmation or personal security questions but it keeps me reseting my current apple id, NOT original one.
