I use Outlook Express for email and have stored numerous emails in named folders. My Ipad2 transferred my email accounts over fine and they all work. However, I can't see any way to create email folders on the Ipad like I have on my laptop. I did read that Ipads can't create email folders with PoP3 email, only with Imap which I don't understand.
I am trying to organize my IPAD by using app folders. I read you can press down on the icon and it then shakes, then you can drag it to another icon and it will create a folder. When I do this it just rearranges the icons. Is there a way to create app folders? I would also like to create email folders if possible.
The new update was premature. When i tap an app to move forward or back a page it will not move to the new page, unlike the iPhone. I figured out that you have to move the app to the task bar, then swipe a page forward or back, then move the app out of the task bar.. Terrible. Same with folders.
I downloaded the new OS the other day and understand that there are many new functions of which one can take advantage. But I cannot figure out how to do any of these things; for example, how to create folders. But that is only one example!
I am using the iPad 2 for training purposes and now have a large number of keynote documents. Is there any way of create folders on the iPad so that I can organise each document? At the moment they appear as one long line. Any suggestions and how to organise these?
Is there a way to create new storage folders in ipad mail? For example, I got an order confirmation email and I would like to store it until my order comes in. But, I don't want to leave it in "inbox" "trash" or "sent". Can I create a folder called "pending orders"?
I moved my photos from my computer to my IPAD. They copied into one big folder rather than individual folders. How do I create separate folders on the IPAD for my pictures? Also how do I create new folders in my mailbox?
I have a brand new iPad 3 and is using it from last couple of months.I am trying to create a mail folder on it but not able to do that. After searching on internet,I found articles suggesting me to go to Mailboxes and then "Edit" and then "Add new Mailbox".It looks simple but in original I am not able to find any Edit button. Can you say, what is going wrong and what should I do to create mail folders on my iPad?
Is there any way to create folders in the gallery app on the iPad? I believe you need a computer to access mobile me on the Internet and create folders from there. This makes it hard to create new folders when you only have iPad access!!
I'm currently using iTunes to transfer pdf and excel files onto my iPad but can't see anyway to manage the files by putting them into separate folders. As an example I'd want to create a folder called June and one called July and keep certain files in the June folder. That way, if I was using say Adobe Acrobat to view pdf's, I wouldn't have to scroll through all of the pdf's on my iPad to get to the one I need. Instead I could quickly go into one of the folders I had created and quickly access the file. Not sure if this is possible on the iPad.
I was wondering if you are able to create additonal folders in the Ipad email other then inbox, sent, & trash. what Im talking about is like in outlook you can add folders to save emails in other then the inbox.
Is there a way to create a folder(s) so that I can organize different types of documents?? I don't want to use drop box or any other type of on-line storage file sharing type website. I just want to be able to create and store files on my IPad so I can access them on work sites that does not have Internet availability..
So I downloaded itunes 9.2 and noticed there was no PDF help in the help section.... figured out that you just drag PDF files to itunes and they automatically get placed in iBook.... now here's the thing I have huge collections of magazines in PDF format that I would love to stick onto my iPad once ios4 comes out but I noticed that each magazine takes up it's own icon and pushes off all my other book titles if it's a large collection... I'm hoping/guessing that you'll be able to create separate folders for these collections... can anybody using the beta version confirm this or anyone from the forum?
