Connect With Wireless Keyboard Via Bluetooth

Jun 13, 2010

i want to connect my iPad ( 16 GB ) with my wireless Keyboard ( White ) via Bluetooth. The Keyboard is ok, it works perfect with the mac. The iPad finds the name of the Keyboard, but will not log with it ( i miss the point: Please enter the code. ) Apple support could not solve the problem, probably they call back in a few days.

Has anyone the same problems ? Or does anybody know a solution ? May be, thats a topic for an update, it`s for me not realy dramatic, but a shame.

Mac Mini / iPad 16 G

Can't Connect To Bluetooth / Motorola Wireless Keyboard?

May 1, 2011

My iPad 1 will not connect to the new motorola bluetooth keyboard. It finds the keyboard, but when I hit pair a pop up box appears and dissapears within a second. It talks about entering a passkey (1875 I think) into the keyboard, but it goes to quick. Then the message that pair was unsuccessful.According to my research, the Keyboard supports HID, and motorola says it should work.

1. Can I manually change the bluetooth password on my iPad?
2. Anyone have any work arounds for this issue?
3. Is there an app that could help me?

My iPad 1 is running 4.2.1 and works with other Motorola stereo headsets. S9HD to be specific. I have factory reset the keyboard and still nothing.

Apple Wireless Keyboard Vs Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard?

Apr 24, 2012

Decided to go with one of these instead of the folding ones But can't decide between these two. The apple keyboard is solid and lighter but expensive The Logitech comes with its own case and optimized for the iPad but heavier

If you support the apple, what case that's good but cheap you recommend besides a zip lock bag?

Apple Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard Not Connecting

Jul 21, 2010

Hey, I try to connect my Apple Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard is not connecting to my iPad. I tap Bluetooth "On" and it searches for devices. Then I slide the switch on the back of my keyboard to the green light and the iPad picks it up and says "Not Paired." So I tap the keyboard and it just spins and spins and spins until the keyboard times out and powers off. Then it disappears and my iPad can't find any devices. I repeated the process several times and I got the same result.

Bluetooth: Does This Mean Magic Mouse+Wireless Keyboard Hook Up?

Jan 28, 2010

It has bluetooth...............

....but why?

Its like the iPod Touch having bluetooth i'm guessing. on the touch i've used it once to play an air hockey game with a friend while he was on his touch...but thats it.

Is this the kind of limitation we're seeing with bluetooth, why even add it to the ipad or touch?

Imagine if the ipad allowed you to connect your magic/mighty mouse? or wireless keyboard?

I guess im asking as to the general consensus re: the matter.

Apple Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard Recognized After Reboot

Jun 14, 2011

My keyboard failed to connect. This is not the first time this has happened, it has happened many times before. What I have noticed is that it keeps getting more difficult to reconnect the darn thing. From time to time I think it's a good idea to shut the iPad down. Even my iMac gets a shut down once a week. Last night I had to remove the wireless keyboards pairing and have it search, fine bluetooth items and then it gave me the code to punch in to pair again. What it takes to make it recognize the keyboard after a boot? This seems to happen about once every 4 or 5 reboots.

Can't Connect My Apple Bluetooth Keyboard

Apr 3, 2010

I have an older apple Bluetooth keyboard(the big bulky one with clear plastic body) and I can't seem to get it working with my iPad. I use this keyboard with my imac and it works just fine. When I'm trying to add a bluetooth device my ipad pics up the keyboard but does not connect it. When I click on the keyboard to pair the two it keeps saying paring for some time, and then it says searching for new devices. Also another weird thing is when my wifi is on and I'm trying to pair my keyboard my wifi icon disappears, but if I go into settings it tells me I'm connected to my network.

Wont Connect Apple Bluetooth Keyboard

Aug 18, 2010

Like a lot of international travellers I adopted the iPAD as the perfect travel companion for flights. However on my first outing with the ipad and a bluetooth keyboard I discovered a major bug/flaw. If the keyboard is placed in a briefcase/rucksack with the iPad and the key is depressed (obviously very likely) then it will continually enter an incorrect passcode into the ipad and eventually lock you out. so what ? Well here's where it goes horribly wrong. The iPad then gets disabled and states you must connect the iPad to your iTunes account before it will re-enable .... NOT TRUE. While oversea's I did exactly this and when I borrowed a friends laptop with iTunes on it and connected the iPad nothing happened. I then logged into my account. Nothing. I then googled the problem and it appears this problem is starting to be experienced by a number of travellers. The only way to unlock the iPAD is too re-connect it to your original PC you first connected and updated the ipad on.

So for 2 weeks while overseas on business I was locked out. Not only is this a major problem and will start to become more common with travellers BUT what is Apple going to do with those iPAD's that were configured on an instotre copy of iTunes ???

This needs sorting ASAP You should be able to unlock the IPAD with YOUR account logged into iTUNES on any PC/APPLE. Having to wait till you return home from your travels is a major issue. As I said ... I can see this causing more and more problems as and when the iPAD is adopted as a travelling tool.

Unable To Type Correct Keys When Keyboard Connect Via Bluetooth

Jul 25, 2010

just purchased a dock and wifi keyboard for my 64gb ipad today. the apple wifi keyboard didn't give any hassles when connecting via bluetooth but it doesn't type the correct keys. for instance, the q and the a are reversed, and i can't for the life of me get it to enter @, which means this thing is unusable. purchased the ipad, dock, and keyboard from best buy whom i despise and am worried they'll give me a runaround when i attempt to return the keyboard. can't wait for apple to build a store in south bend / mishawaka. Information:
Mac Mini Mac OS X (10.6.4) 2.5ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4gb 667mhz DDR2 SDRAM, 500gb 7200rpm hd w/ 16mb cache.
