My question to you all is around use of Bluetooth. I own a Samsung S2 and no matter how I try, it will not pair with my IPAD.
When prompted, it gives me a numerical code but when I go to connect, it tells me that it's not compatible and then cuts me off. Now the S2 is a new phone so I thought there shouldn't be any issues but this has me beaten.

I just started using iPad synched with my Mac using iCloud. Now I have a PC too, wich I wasnt planing on using iCloud on it. But I do also have a Android phone, wich I believe can be sicnhed to a PC using their specific software. So I am wondering, since a PC can sycnh with icloud too, can I have everything synched together?
BTW, my phone is a Sony Xperia Neo. all I would like to synch is the "Contacts", so if I enter a phone number on my phone, it appears on my Mac/iPad, and vice versa.
I have iPad and now my father is going to purchase an android phone so I just want to ask you about the battery back-up of these two. so please tell me which one between these two provides better battery backup?

View 8 RepliesI recently bought a Wifi-only iPad 4. My thinking was that I would mostly use Wifi and (after a salesperson showed how easy it is to create a hotspot for iPad using your phone's connection) on those rare occasion I wouldn't have access to it and needed to be connected, I would do some tethering. Unfortunately I cannot get my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Mini) to work with my iPad.
There are options on the S3 Mini to share internet connection via Wifi (creating a hotspot) or Bluetooth. I was able to successfully pair my phone with my iPad both ways (though not at once, obviously). It would seem that I now can use the Internet from my iPad. While I have a stable Wifi-connection/BT-connection, the iPad just won't connect to the Internet. There was an error message in Chrome saying something about DNS Servers. I did confirm that I can access the Internet from my phone and that my phone's data plan was turned on.
- I do have Avast on my phone, but I turned it off and nothing happened
- I do have power saving mode turned on on my phone, but turning it off didn't work
- I don't have a 3G-quality connection at my current location but I can access Internet
